Getting to know Gilda Moss-Traore

Hi, I'm Gilda Moss-Traore, a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, PMHNP-BC) with over a decade of experience helping individuals navigate life's challenges. I earned my Bachelor's degree from Clayton State University, my Master's in Family Health Nursing from Georgia Baptist College of Nursing, and a Post-Master's Certificate in Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing from Georgia College & State University. At Edgecare 360, we believe in a comprehensive, person-centered approach to mental health that supports your total well-being-mind, body, and spirit. Whether you're facing ADHD, anxiety, depression, PTSD, bipolar disorder, insomnia, adjustment disorders, or substance use challenges, I am here to listen, guide, and empower you on your journey to healing. Through comprehensive assessments, medication management, and individualized psychosocial therapy, we will create a plan tailored to your unique needs. Your mental health matters, and you don't have to navigate this journey alone. Let's take the first step together. Schedule your telehealth or in-person appointment today, and let's begin your journey toward healing and wholeness.

What should a new client know about working with you?

We provide services based on the seven pillars of wellness, it is our goal to provide person centered care. Process for treatment: We offer In-person and Telehealth availability just let the admin know if you would like to change the appointment location. If you are obtaining stimulant medication the visit must be in-person. I will conduct an initial evaluation to determine the best course of treatment, which may include medication management and therapy. We strongly recommend working with one of our therapists to ensure ongoing monitoring of your progress and treatment goals. This collaboration allows us to provide the most effective care, make necessary adjustments, and support your overall well-being. ***As a group practice, the therapist initially assigned may not always be the best fit based on your needs and insurance coverage. However, we are committed to working with you to find the most appropriate provider for your journey.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

At Edgecare 360, your session may include working with me and a therapist depending on your personal journey. Our team based process is designed to support your total well-being. Check-In: We’ll review your mood, symptoms, and any medication concerns. Assessment: The NP focuses on medical and psychiatric care, while the therapist helps with emotional and behavioral challenges. Treatment Plan: We collaborate on therapy techniques, coping strategies, and medication adjustments if needed. Education & Support: You'll receive guidance on mental wellness, lifestyle tips, and tools to help you thrive. Next Steps: We’ll wrap up with a clear plan, resources, and your next session scheduled.

Great
I was not seen. I really needed this appointment. I received no reach out from anybody on how to be seen or anything I felt literally like I didn’t matter.

I was able to be seen as soon as possible. This was my first initial visit. I felt heard and look forward to seeing the results with continued treatment.

I recently had my first Google Meet session with this psychiatrist and was disappointed in the overall reaction. From the start, I felt she showed little interest in engaging with me as a potential patient. Throughout the session, she made facial expressions—such as appearing uninterested, irritated, or uncomfortable—that left me confused and unsure of how to interpret them. I joined and left the meeting with a smile, but the expressions I observed were inconsistent with a welcoming or professional demeanor. If the meeting was recorded for quality assurance, it would be clear that I said or did nothing to prompt such reactions. While I had specifically requested an African American female psychiatrist, this experience reminded me why some people avoid seeking psychiatric help—if a provider seems disengaged, it can feel discouraging. That said, I am open to meeting with her again and hope that any future sessions will reflect mutual respect and a more positive, constructive exchange.

Instead of helping, they only furthered my diagnosis by having me run around to get medical clearances and EKG’s to not prescribe anything. I was left lost & my insurance was billed for services that were never rendered. The sad part is that I don’t even think they care or know much about the profession they’re in. I originally booked for an assessment with Gilda Moss-Traore, then was told they didn’t have a psychologist on staff to perform it. Then, all of a sudden, Jennifer Edge contacted me and said she could perform it. After then having to see my PCP for other documents, I was brought into the office to take a computer test and a drug test. Fine. However, without disclosing any of the results or advising next steps, the office just said they couldn’t assist me. It’s some guy who plays puppet master behind the scenes & my concern was how are you in business to help people and fail to do so? So yea, it’s a lot sketchy. I’m still waiting for my medical records I requested days ago.
I was vulerable enough to do something I had never done, seek help for the mental struggles I have and for 2 days in a row I'm post poned because of insurance verification. From a former medical biller with back and front office experience SIGN UP FOR THE ONLINE PORTALS! This could have elimiated your office's disdain to sit on the phone with Medicare to verify insurance. My coverage began 6/1 and I desperately needed to talk to someone yesterday but today I'm over it and this entire ordeal.
I had an excellent experience as a new patient with my daughter. The whole process was exceptional and thorough. I highly recommend this practice.

This experience from the front desk to the doctor was absolutely amazing. The provider was Very attentive and offered great feedback which let me know that she was listening.I felt like I was in a safe space to communicate my challenges and felt a lot lighter and happier when I left Vs before I came.the provider listened to my my concerns and helped create a plan and treatment that works well for me to support my healing journey . I would highly recommend this provider.

Very pleasant. Did not appreciate the various apps and portals that I had to register on and submit information. How many times does one need to give their address, insurance information, and reason for coming. Seemed redundant. But once in my appointment, was pleased with the therapist.
