Gina M. Saffo has practiced in Lanham, MD, since moving here form Pittsburgh in 1988. Her office is a fully functioning podiatric practice, offering complete foot care for her patients.
Upon graduation from Philadelphia’s Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in 1986, Dr. Saffo completed a two-year podiatric surgical residency at the Podiatry Hospital of Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania.
Dr. Saffo is certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgeons in foot and ankle surgery, and is a diplomate of this certifying board. She is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association, Maryland Podiatric Medical Association (past secretary), and a member and past president of the American Association for Women’s Podiatry.
Dr. Saffo has been Chief of Podiatry at Doctor’s Community Hospital for the past 12 years, where she has also been an active member of the surgical/medical staff for the past 24 years. She is also a certified wound specialist at the hospital’s highly regarded Wound Care Center.
She has been an active member in the community, volunteering with various organizations, including the Outreach Program at Doctor’s Community Hospital.
On a personal note, Dr. Saffo has resided in the community since 1988, with her husband, Robert, of 24 years, and their two children, Andrew and Jessica.

I was disappointed that the pre-appointment forms I completed online at home were not the forms that the office required. I had to complete a different set of forms once I arrived to the doctor's office.
