More about Dr. Gregory Clark, MD

This is a diabetes practice unlike any you have ever experienced. Chicago Diabetes Experts is a Direct Specialty Care practice. Our services are not covered by insurance but by cutting out the middlemen we can provide a level of care that is unparalleled and of great value. Visits are hours long and cover all aspects of diabetes with a focus on what is most important to the patient. The goal is to educate the patient over time so that they become their own Diabetes Expert. We review diet, exercise, glucose monitoring including continuous glucose monitors, medication options, and insulin therapy via injections, pens, inhaled insulin, or semi-automated insulin pumps for those who need it.We discuss diabetes complications and preventive maintenance and even address the mental and social aspects of living with this disease. Chicago Diabetes Experts was founded in 2013 by Gregory Clark, M.D. Dr Clark's professional motivation comes from being diagnosed with type 1 diabetes himself when he was 11 years old. Dr Clark graduated with Highest Distinction from the University of Southern California School of Medicine. He then trained in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology/Diabetes at Johns Hopkins Hospital before joining the Medical School faculty there. Dr Clark developed clinical programs including the transition of care from pediatric to adult care clinics, taught future generations of doctors how to manage diabetes and conducted diabetes specific research for over 10 years before starting Chicago Diabetes Experts. For those who are then interested, annual memberships in the practice are available which includes, among many other things, unlimited remote evaluation of continuous glucose monitor and insulin pump data with detailed advice regarding best management. Whether you have prediabetes, type 1 diabetes or type 2 diabetes you owe it to yourself to at least seek a second opinion regarding your current approach from a true Diabetes Expert, it could change your life! If you book a visit we will reach out to collect payment in advance of the visit and will also arrange to receive and review any glucose data (including continuous glucose monitor data) and insulin pump data (as applicable) as well as understanding what you want most from the interaction. With care! Dr Clark
