About Shivani Patel
Healthcare, to Shivani, is about more than treating symptoms. It is about building trust, fostering connection, and helping patients feel supported through every stage of their care. Her goal is to help each patient feel heard, informed, and actively involved in their own health.
Shivani grew up in the suburbs of Chicago and earned her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Marquette University. Her training spanned a broad range of specialties, from family and internal medicine to cardiology, pediatrics, women's health, emergency medicine, and behavioral health. That breadth shapes how she practices today. She sees the whole person, not a single complaint. Shivani also speaks English and Gujarati, and is glad to connect with patients in the language they feel most comfortable using.
At Aayu, Shivani's approach reflects the way we believe primary care should feel. Every visit is unhurried and centered on you. She listens fully, explains clearly, and makes sure you leave understanding not only what to do next, but why it matters. And because Aayu is open seven days a week, that relationship-centered care is here when you need it, evenings and weekends included.
Since moving back to Chicago, Shivani has enjoyed exploring new restaurants and workout classes around the city. Outside of work, she finds balance in yoga, traveling, and time with family and friends, all of which bring perspective, empathy, and energy to the care she provides.
