Total professional. Really thoughtful, helful and offered lots of insights to my current needs. Would highly recommend.
Dr. Gass was very professional and empathic in discussing my problems during our visit. He was thoughtful and considerate of my time constraints and was able to listen to my problems and symptoms and formulate a treatment plan that was concisely explained to me. I plan on returning to see Dr. Gass for my subsequent care and recommend him without reservation.

More about Dr. Gregory Gass, MD

I have worked with children since 1988 in critical care. My first psychiatry kids were residential 13 to 18 year olds who had an array of mood disorders and addiction issues. The private practice that sprang from that was on the border of a major university and a patient population aged 13 to 25. Soon, the referrals expanded all the way into the 60's. Previously my clients have clustered into 3 or 4 groups: "Moody Teenagers": The task to determine the source (depression, anxiety; school, social or family issue). "Chronic Pain": Anesthesiologist prior to psychiatry. Benzodiazapine or alcohol dependent clients who wish to end their use (History in pain clinic, addiction medicine background and psychiatry). Gay adolescents and adults (Very intolerant, conservative southern city; I became known as an LGBT friendly therapist). I am board certified in Psychiatry and Anesthesiology and my certification by the American Society of Addiction Medicine led to board certification in Addiction Medicine. I was a pediatric anesthesiologist until 1996. My experience brings a blending of pediatric critical care, addiction medicine and psychodynamic training to my psychiatric practice.

DR.GASS was one of the best therapists I ever had.He made sure that I was never on anything addictive, worked w/ me to find proper medication, Gave me a medication that literally helped me get sober- when I couldn't in just all alone.was patient, kind, none judging, and was upset, when he left Ryan Chelsea. There are few like him. Many just put you on medication and try and keep you on. He always understood my concerns. Vanessa H
I've been in a pretty bad spot, psychologically, with signs of severe depressions and anxiety, Dr Gass been most helpful in helping me to deal with all of these issues, he is a phenomenal psychiatrist and an overall a great human being, who actually listens, is a pleasure to deal with, he is extremely down to earth and outgoing, really glad that I've picked him out of everyone else...
