DR. Gurmeet was and is very professional,knowledgeable and
comes with a dry sense of comforting humor. My first visit was anxious as normal he put me at ease with information I could understand or relate too. Good experience I would definitely refer his and staff services to others.

Welcome to the practice of Gurmeet S. Sawhney, M.D. – An accomplished primary care doctor serving in North Anne Arundel County for more than 22 years. Dr. Sawhney’s passion for healing, dedication towards his patient’s better health and developing personal relationship with each patient through thorough understanding of their medical history is what attracts patients to his practice. He is described by his patients as an insightful, attentive, thorough and comforting doctor. Dr. Sawhney’s proudest career accomplishment is that all of his patients leave his practice happy. As a primary care physician, his primary objective is to encourage his patients to practice preventive care and maintain a healthy life style, thus building a healthy community.
Dr. Sawhney received his degree from Maharaja Krishna Chandra Gajapati Medical College and trained at Prince George’s Hospital center. Dr. Sawhney has an extensive experience in treating multiple chronic conditions such as Hypertension, Hypothyroidism, Coronary Artery disease, Diabetes, Arthritis, Asthma, obesity and many more. Some common services such as blood draw, urine and sugar test, EKG, flu shot, pneumonia shot, and tetanus shot are provided at the office. Dr. Sawhney has office at one convenient location - Glen Burnie. For the convenience of our patients, we offer early morning, and late evening appointments. Our Glen Burnie office is open every 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month from 7:00 am to 11:00 am. Our Pasadena location is no longer open.

Dr Sawhney is a sweet man with a clearly growing practice. I felt like my appointment took a lot longer than it needed to because he repeated himself a lot (mostly that I needed to quit smoking, but after the 5th or 6th time, I get it.) Overall, I am going to show up for my follow up, if that says anything. But, only because it’s already scheduled.

It took a while to be seen. However, the entire staff was friendly. The doctor gave me prescriptions for the things I needed the most. It was worth the wait. I have two referrals for important doctors. I have medicine for allergy season and I have anxiety pills to help me sing in public with no issue. I have no complaints and will recommend this doctor to other people.

I absolutely loved my visit with Dr. Sawhney. I would recommend him to any person looking for a new PCP. He listened to me fully, he had me laughing the entire time I was in the office with him. He made me feel completely comfortable or made me feel like he was judging me. He helped me with all of my complaints and he answered all of my questions that I had for him. He really does take time in getting to know his patients. He is an amazing doctor and I am glad I found a PCP I can actually trust.

I have always gotten very nervous about doctor appointments.
Not quite a 'phobia', but very close to it.
Dr. Sawhney quickly made me feel relaxed during my first visit.
I was also impressed that his wide-ranging knowledge obviously came from years of experience, and not just an ability to memorize medical textbooks.
Best doctor consultation ever! I'm very glad I found him.

he is okay , i know some doctors keep it real but he just comes out in say your fat he could use words like your over weight or something to let someone know there fat could hurt there feelings the wait time is really long i had to wait 3 hours to be seen i dont know what he be doing but he needs to have appointment times on time you schedule your appointment at 2 you wont be seen until like 4

His office in Pasadena is absolutely filthy. All we really did was talk and he made me feel very uncomfortable about what I wanted to address. I honestly felt like he was judging me, but he did spend a while talking so I can see how he does spend time with his patients. That being said, the wait time is ridiculous.

Excellent Dr. Who really takes his time with his patients - getting to know their medical history and discussing any medical issues you are experiencing. Dr. Sawhney has a great personality as well as bedside manner. He does not try to rush you along like 99% of other doctors do and thoroughly explains all possible treatments and medications that are available in treating your condition as well as the pros & cons of each one. The only negative issue I encountered was the extremely long wait time - Waited almost 2 hours to be seen by the Dr.
I will definitely be seeing Dr. Sawhney again as I believe that it is rare to find a Dr in which you actually like and who has your best interests at heart.

Very nice. While I understand about the wait time and him wanting to take his time with his clients, longer than one hour is not reasonable. I can't take off a day of work for one doctor's appointment. I'm sure others can't either.
