Dr. Strauss has been practicing since 1987. He is a board certified in internal medicine and critical care. Dr. Strauss has a passion for continuing medical education in order to provide the most up to date care for his patients. He has received the American Medical Association's Physician Recognition Award a total of 7 times. He believes in providing a continuum of care across all spectrums of internal medicine, including office care, hospital care, and rehabilitation/nursing home care. Dr. Strauss also enjoys helping to train future physicians, and has served as a trainer and mentor for the Medical College at the University of Florida. He has served on numerous committees for Lake City Medical Center and Shands at Lake Shore Hospital to help improve the quality of medical care to our community. Dr. Strauss enjoys the challenge of helping people with conditions that are difficult to diagnose and treat. He strongly believes in taking his time with each patient so that he can give everyone the care that they deserve.
