The reception staff was excellent in helping me find my way to the office as well as explaining paperwork I needed clarification on. The wait wasn't that long. Being new to a foot specialist the videos playing in the waiting room were very informative. The doctor was extremely helpful, he listened to my not very useful explanations of foot pain and still diagnosed me in an efficient manner. I highly recommend this doctor. Great attitude, friendly conversation.

Dr. Hal Abrahamson is a graduate of the University of Buffalo. He attended the New York College of Podiatric Medicine and graduated in 1989. He completed his residency training at Coney Island Hospital and Hospital for Joint Diseases North.
Board Certified in Podiatric Orthopedics and Medicine and wound care, Dr. Abrahamson is currently the Chief of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery at North Shore – Long Island Jewish Health System’s Forest Hills Hospital. In 1999, he founded the Podiatric Surgery Residency Program at Forest Hills and was co-director of the residency program from 2000–2007.
Dr. Abrahamson specializes in sports medicine and biomechanics of the lower extremity and was team podiatrist for the St. John’s University Red Storm Men’s and Woman’s Soccer teams from 2000–2006. When not in the office you can find Dr. Hal coaching youth soccer, playing guitar with his kids, or in his garage restoring old muscle cars.
