He carefully performs minimally invasive surgeries to give his patients comfort with very little risk and recovery time.
Dr. Hussain has an impressive background of extensive education and training. After growing up in the Mississippi river valley in Northwest Illinois, he graduated summa cum laude from Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois, in 2008. He stayed in his home state to attend medical school at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine.
After earning his medical degree, Dr. Hussain completed an internship and residency in orthopaedic surgery at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center in Ohio. He received additional training with a specialized fellowship in hands and upper extremities at the world-renowned Philadelphia Hand to Shoulder Center. During this time, he provided orthopaedic hand care to the 2018 Super Bowl champions, the Philadelphia Eagles.
At Greater Washington Orthopaedic Group, Dr. Hussain frequently treats patients with nerve and tendon repairs, arthroscopic surgery, and fracture care. He treats injuries as well as long-term conditions affecting the joints, such as arthritis.
