Dr. Harvey Mishner, Board Certified in Internal Medicine, brings an effective and efficient approach to health and wellness. Dr. Mishner specializes in the treatment of high blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes, respiratory problems, obesity, and arthritis. Our practice philosophy has always been that preventing disease is not only less costly, but more effective than treating illness.
After beginning his career in medicine at the University of Maryland, Dr. Mishner finished his internship and residency at Maryland General Hospital. He serves as a team physician for the Baltimore Orioles. As a sports medicine professional Dr. Mishner gained a greater understanding in healthy exercise and movement science. Before relocating to Florida, Dr. Mishner had his own private practice in Baltimore. With nearly thirty years of practice experience, he is a member of the American Society of Bariatric Physicians, Manatee County Medical Society, and he is Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
Dr. Mishner is devoted to his patients, and to be sure that our programs are moving in the right direction, he frequently studies the progress of every participant so that he can actively make adjustments. To help his patients stay healthy, Dr. Mishner also offers specialized services like computerized balance testing. Other services in our office include: electrocardiograms, lung function testing, cardiovascular and soft tissue sonography, physical therapy, massage therapy, and our own state-of-the-art fitness center supervised by our Kaizen fitness therapists.
Our facility also includes our Nurse Practitioner, Jeanna Hepler. She is a Board Certified Adult Nurse Practitioner specializing in Women’s Health including bio-identical hormone therapy.
