I had been through the wringer with finding a cardiologist that was willing to listen to my concerns and not dismiss my issues due to my age. I couldn’t recommend this office more. Amazing staff and experience all around. If I could give more than 5 stars I absolutely would.

The Heart and Wellness Center seeks to flip the paradigm of our current healthcare system, which focuses on disease and reactivity, to one that focuses on Health, Nutrition and Social Support with only judicious use of Medication and Testing.
Dr. Hassan S Makki came to the United States with his family as a child and grew up in Michigan. He graduated from the University Of Michigan with a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry. He then did research in blood coagulation before completing course work in the Masters of Public Health at the University of Michigan. He then attended and graduated with Honors from A.T. Still University with his Osteopathic Medical degree in 2004.
He then completed his Internal Medicine residency and Cardiovascular Medicine fellowship in Garden City Michigan in 2010.
Dr. Makki practiced General Cardiology for several years before completing his Interventional Fellowship in Macomb Michigan in 2016.
Dr. Makki, after over two decades of education, training and practice, believes that the secrets to great health and vitality are quite simple; regular Exercise, proper Nutrition and the judicious use of well established Medical Therapies. Dr. Makki believes that our current healthcare system incentivizes people, doctors and hospitals to keep people in a perpetual state of disease by focusing most of our efforts and resources After disease has set in. Billions of healthcare dollars are used to "save people's" lives, by preforming expensive procedures and utilizing overpriced medications, only to return them to same state of health where these therapies found them. This insanity is akin to catching someone as they fall of the cliff and putting them right back on that edge after! The Heart and Wellness Center seeks to reverse this trend and extend the area before the patient even reaches the cliff!
Our goal is not merely to extend the Lifespan of our patients, but also to improve and increase the HEALTHSPAN!

Honestly it was a delightful appointment given the circumstances! The first doctor in over a year who actually listened to what I had to say! Previous doctor's would instantly write me off with "it's just anxiety". Not Dr. Makki! He was kind, humorous (at appropriate times) and was a good listener! He took me seriously and helped set up future appointments to address my concerns. 10/10 would recommend this office! The nurses and front desk staff were also amazing, talkative, and cheerful!

Dr and his MA are good. Their office staff are the worst I've ever encountered in 40 years!
Good luck getting documents transfered to and from them!!! My family doctor is still waiting for the rest of my records.... I had extensive testing done n they only sent 3 f'n pages!!!
They also didn't bill me correctly n will not provide an itemized bill despite requests over 30 days now.... I'm beginning to wonder if their billing department even knows what that means (billed to medical provider, amount remaining to patient, codes, etc).
In general, this office is horrible on documenting any comments and requests and rarely contacts back.

My experience was positive.. No one in the office knew me or anything about me nor did I know anything about any of them. I needed to have an EKG done for my physician back in South Dakota because of a reading they received from the loop recorder that I have implanted in my chest. This clinic did provide that service.
All in all I think this clinic and physician are probably very astute and very conscientious. They just are not my regular cardiology doctors. I would have no reason to not recommend them.

The front office staff was friendly and I arrived early to fill out paperwork, I was called to the exam room before I even completed all the paperwork. The doctor was very kind and listened to all my concerns. He did an exam and some tests and ordered other tests to be completed within a couple of weeks. I like that the doctor is actually trying to help me figure out what is going on with my body and not trying to tell me that there is no problem.

WOW!! I have to say this was one of the best experiences I have had in awhile! I was unsure booking an appointment online with a brand new doctor, but I have to say Dr. Makki and his team- from the front office to the back office were amazing! Dr. Makki took his time in speaking with me shared his thoughts and listened to my concerns. He and his staff were great! I am so glad to have him as my new cardiologist, I was frightened and you helped ease my anxiety and cared about what I am going through- you don’t get bedside manner like this much these days.
I am kind of afraid to tell the rest of Arizona as good providers get booked up so quickly, but I it’s important for others to know not to lose faith too.
