Dr. Desai is originally from the Philadelphia area and graduated from The College of New Jersey with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She went on to receive a Doctor of Optometry degree at the State University of New York College of Optometry where she remained active throughout school as a member of Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honor Society and served as the President of the Gold Key International Optometric Honor Society.
Dr. Desai completed her residency in Ocular Disease and Primary Eye Care at Bronx Lebanon Hospital Center. There she provided optometric care to patients of all ages in a community-based clinical setting and provided treatment for the full spectrum of ophthalmologic disease for a diverse population. She is proficient in Spanish and fluent in Gujarati.
