Through her work as a family practitioner, Dr. Heideh Khalilnejad feels that she serves patients not just as their doctor, but as an advocate who genuinely cares about their well-being. Serving the Sunnyvale community, Dr. Khalilnejad prides herself on the fact that she is accessible to her patients at all times. She has seen tremendous changes in patients over the long term with the help of her close care and guidance.
Dr. Khalilnejad is board-certified as a family physician, and she has extensive experience in gynecology and women's health. She attends every seminar she can in family medicine, internal medicine, and in gynecology. Dr. Khalilnejad strives to build a bond with her patients so she can first understand who they are, then address their medical concerns from an individual perspective. Her foremost goal is for her patients to leave her office with total satisfaction, and she truly wants them to feel comfortable enough to call or visit any time.
After attending medical school at the University of Tehran, Dr. Khalilnejad completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Shahid Beheshti University. She then studied internal medicine for her internship, at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, NJ. Eager to gain a broader background, Dr. Khalilnejad completed a second residency in family medicine from Saint Elizabeth Hospital.
Originally from Tehran, Iran, Dr. Khalilnejad is happy to meet with patients in both English and Farsi. In her spare time, she loves to listen to classical music and go hiking. She has college-aged children, and they spend as much time together as they can.
