I just don’t even know where to begin, first an foremost I had huge hesitations when booking through Zocdoc that this provider would be good. Seeing that he only had one good review I took a shot, Ive been dealing with abdominal pains around my stomach and lower right large intestine, he was my second gastro because my first did not meet my needs. I walk in and see him sitting and introduces himself in a condescending tone. Asks about my insurance, and proceeds to say that my insurance is the worst! He asks me what was my reason for my visit, I proceed with explaining how long I’ve been dealing with this pain, he cuts me off and starts to go off on a tangent about my weight and what kinds of food I’ve been eating. Then he feels against my stomach as I’m already reserved and tense because of his attitude, tells me to relax. He explains that Im far too young to be dealing with these stomach issues, mind you this whole time he is just going on a tangent about how I was misdiagnosed, need to stop eating junk, lose more weight and begins drawing a diagram of my stomach as if I’m a child who doesn’t understand what I’m talking about. Finally, as I’m trying to explain still my possible diagnosis from my previous gastros, i mention a couple of possibilities he then says I can’t have this certain illness it’s impossible only Jewish people like him can have This certain illness not black, Latinos, or Indians ( these are his words). I was in shock at this point and someone with anxiety this quickly shut me down. In the end he continuously bashed me and recommended an endoscopy as if I had the choice to go and do so. He says he’s had 30 so years of experience but the way I was treated especially now with how the medical field treat black and brown Americans, I don’t feel trusting of this doctor.
