Dr. Fishman was highly knowledgeable and listened to my concerns. He went beyond to ensure I would know exactly what I was allergic to and what I was not so I could know for future medications I may need to take. All other staff was friendly and knowledgeable throughout the entire process. Would recommend to anyone who is looking for a new doctor.

Dr. Fishman knows his stuff, and gives you all the options, but also does a good job of leaving the final decisions up to the patients.

Let me start by saying Dr Canady is absolutely wonderful. She has always been kind, consistent, and has my best interests at heart. Most of the staff is fine, but a couple of nurses gave me attitude on more then one occasion. Also Dr Fishman is a bit two faced. He is very kind during your consultation to get you to sign up, but I have found him to be very condescending and rude, unwilling to take the time to talk through my care, but write me a prescription when the allergy shots didn’t seem to be working and move through to the next patient. He also pushed rush immunotherapy rather than single shots which is much more expensive so check with your insurance first to see what they cover. Ask Fishman allergy for the charge codes for this service because this is a regular doctor visit per hour (so 2-3 hours could be one rush immunotherapy visit and you would charged per hour for each visit). So single shots is a more affordable option that rush immunotherapy. Dr Canady was incredible and empathetic throughout my journey there and helped me every step of the way, Dr Fishman just wanted to bill more. I went for 2 years, the allergy shots didn’t help me in the end.
I never waited more than 5 or 10 minutes - barely long enough to even read a few FB posts! Dr. Fishman has a very no-nonsense bedside manner. He listened to my questions, made jokes as we went, was encouraging of his student doctors, and double checked that we'd covered all the bases. I'm looking to get a few treatments, so I may update this later. Pricing seems fair so far - no surprise bills in the mail yet!

Dr. Fishman and his staff were very pleasant. It was the first visit to a doctor of any specialty in a long time where I didn't feel like I was bothering the doctor/staff with all of my questions or like they were trying to hurry me out the door to cycle through as many patients as possible. I felt like Dr. Fishman and his staff were very attentive, patient, informative, and helpful.
Verified patient
Dr. Fishman was great. Very friendly and explained things in a way that made sense, while still listening to my concerns. However, his technician / nurse who handled my scratch test made it clear right from the start that she would rather be anywhere else. Huffy and impatient.

Interface with dr. Fishman and information provided and all support people were excellent, but wait was longer than I expected (by quite a bit)

I had a consultation with Dr. Angela Canady, and have had follow ups with her via email and telephone. Outstanding attention to my situation and highly recommend.

Very great experience at Dr. Fishman's office today. The front desk staff were extremely friendly and professional; I received two confirmations of my appointment - one via email at the time I scheduled via Zoc Doc and one via phone two days before my appointment - which was just the right amount. The nurse was great and made the allergy test go quickly and as painlessly as possible. And Dr. Fishman was extremely kind and professional and I felt as though he had plenty of time to answer all of my questions. He spent way more time with me than I ever expected for a doctor (and I had a very simple visit). I would definitely recommend this doctor!

Dr. Angela was truly lovely. She has fantastic bedside manners. The office was pretty busy but when she was in the room with me discussing my case she made me feel as if she doesn’t have anyone waiting on her. She also talked to me about a wide range of options as opposed to just pushing me to the most expensive option. I was very pleased with my experience and highly recommend her!
This is my 2nd time to this office. I saw Dr. Fishman a few years ago and then Dr. Canady today. It is an unusual experience for DC, because literally EVERYONE on their staff is nice. Both doctors took extra time to sit with me - and both of them actually listened to me. It was almost surprising, since nowadays doctors are so quick with patients. I feel like I'm in great hands and I trust that they are going to stick with me until we figure out what's going on with my body!

My actual appointment with Dr. Fishman was pretty good. He was initially extremely welcoming and conversational. His office was extremely cluttered and disorganized, which didn't give a great impression, but the practiced moved soon thereafter, so that may have been part of it. For a while as we talked, Dr. Fishman was very willing to answer my questions. However, once he covered what it seemed he considered the basics, he quickly became frustrated with my questions, and he seemed dismissive of my remaining concerns. None of that would have been a big deal if it weren't for my subsequent treatment by office administrators. First, I attempted twice to schedule a follow-up visit here on zoc-doc. Both times, the appointment was cancelled, and I was notified by zocdoc, but NOT by the office, nor was I given an explanation (I later found out when I called that this was due to the move). Today, I called for a new prescription because I misplaced the box and physical Rx for one of my creams and didn't know if I had refills, or if my pharmacy would honor them if I didn't have the Rx number. The receptionist was EXTREMELY rude and very obviously put out. Before she even attempted to check, she stated that I needed to tell her what the Rx was, as they wouldn't necessarily know. I clarified, "What do you mean? You don't have a record of what he prescribed to me?!" and she sighed, "well, hopefully...". In the end, she found it and told me what it was, and that I had three refills, so I should just call my pharmacy and ask for a refill. I said, "Even though I don't have the Rx number?" and she said, again clearly exasperated, "Call your pharmacy." I will not be going back here, as not only do I feel I was treated very poorly, but the overall impression I was left with is one of laziness and disorganization, so I no longer trust in Dr. Fishman's care.

Dr. Fishman was great at listening and walked me through each step of the process to figure out what could be causing my allergic reactions. I walked away feeling more knowledgeable and assured that all would be okay. I also appreciate that he ended our time by saying, "Welcome to the practice."

I saw Dr. Angela Canady, who listened and asked lots of questions and had a great bedside manner. The nurses and other professionals in the office were also friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend!

I actually saw Dr. Cannady who is in his office. She was excellent. Attentive to what i was telling her and thoughtful about what she was suggesting the problem may be. I would go back.

Funny thing. I did not see Dr. Fishman. He does not have hours on thursday so I saw Dr. Canady. So please attribute the above feedback to her for HER wonderful care.
My visit to this office was excellent. The information given was extremely helpful. This appointment exceeded all expectations. I highly recommend!

He is great! I highly recommend him!
Professional, friendly admin staff. comptetent, pleasant medical staff. My appt was at 10:30, and I was seen at 10:30. Dr. F. consulted with me twice during my time there, and listened well. Will recommend!
I felt that he was telling me something rehearsed as if he had mesmerized a script. He did not like questions and he gave me a lot of papers to read.

Dr Fishman was very knowledgeable about my allergies including foods, medications and environmental. He acknowledged my concerns and alleviated many of them. He is quirky which I liked. He makes a personal connection with his patient's and his staff. I would highly recommend him and the office experience.

Dr Fishman was very friendly, informative and professional. It was my first visit and I couldn't believe I was called back to see the doctor right away. Zero wait time in DC is almost unheard of. Dr Fishman did not rush me through the results and instead patiently answered all of the questions I had about my newly discovered allergies! Thank you, Dr Fishman.
Verified patient
Dr. Fishman was great - took time to talk with me 1 on 1 before doing tests for allergies/asthma, and took time to fully explain the diagnosis and treatment options afterwards.
Excellent experience and exceeded expectations!

He was fantastic!! I had never been to an allergist and was a bit nervous with the tests, however his whole office was incredibly warm and friendly. They walked me through the whole process and were great.
Excellent, thanks for help setting it up.
My visit was its usual positive experience. Dr. Fishman is someone whom I like and trust -- enormously. The same goes for his staff.
Verified patient
would definitely recommend Dr. Fishman to anyone in need of an allergist. This was my first appointment and it was an excellent experience.
His staff is very caring and sensitive! Dr. Fishman, as well, has a wonderful bedside manner and takes his time during the appointment and is very thorough!
I have been his patient for 25 years. Always available for emergency and when I am sick. Always returns phone calls same day and is available by e-mail if follow-up needed. SMART and good sense of humor.
