He's a nice doctor but the staff was rude and unhelpful. Also, they sign you up for an online portal to manage results and appointments but when nothing happened and I called they said, they only use some of its functionality but didn't specify which. I won't come back.

The receptionists and nurse/health care assistant were rude - messed up my appointment so I had to return another day. The next day I can they were having loud conversations with other patients in front of the waiting room about refusing to accept their health insurance. When I was called through the nurse/health assistant did not introduce herself or anything, she said nothing and literally just pointed at a weighing scales, indicating that I should get on. No tact and so rude! Then said 'follow me' and deposited me in the doctor's office to wait.
In total I waited about one hour to see the doctor.
While waiting I could clearly overhear other patient consultations where personal matters were being discussed - in one, the doctor was scolding a patient to lose weight and said 'don't let me down when I see you next' and in another a patient was discussing intimate details of a gynaecologist visit.
When I saw Dr Patel he was perfectly nice but it seemed like he did not care at all. I wanted to engage in a conversation about medication management and whether I felt my current meds were working for me but he just ignored my questions and refilled the prescription. I take strong meds and have NEVER experienced a doctor failing to ask me how I manage them, other things I do in my lifestyle to manage my condition etc. He said I needed to go to a specialist but offered no referrals. He also raised the dosage of one of my medications because he didn't think the pharmacy would have my usual dosage in stock - and it was not raised for any reason other than that. I have previously had a lower dose of that medication that was raised and there was a serious conversation with my doctor about whether it was necessary to raise it, and I had to visit my doc every three weeks to manage things and see if it was helping.
I genuinely could not believe the experience I had - my jaw was on the floor. To top it off, when I went to the pharmacy to pick up my prescriptions, only one had been sent over and they had to phone the centre to sort it out.
Will never be returning.

This doctor had a lot of available appointments, so it was easy to book one on short notice, which was helpful. The wait was reasonable, and the consultation was ok, if brief. I was able to get the prescription I needed. But unfortunately, when the prescription ran out, the secretary would not allow me to speak to the doctor to ask for a simple refill to get me through a holiday weekend. Instead she told me to take extra dosages of a different medication, the one I had left over because I’d had a negative, allergic reaction to it. In summary, the doctor was ok, he might have even been good, I’ll never know, because instead of providing minimal follow-up care, he allows medically-untrained secretaries to make potentially dangerous medical decisions in his place. For that reason alone, I will not be going back and, if I could, would report this dangerous lack of professionalism.

If you ever need an annual physical in less than a month go to this doctor, not only are you seen right away, he takes time to talk to you about your health, even if you don't want to hear it. ;)

The doctor himself was good - professional, helpful, friendly, and efficient. I also like that he has appointment times during irregular hours. Unfortunately, the wait time was much too long. I waited over an hour to sit in his office for a 5 minute check-up. If you don't have an afternoon to dedicate for your appointment, consider going some place else.

I chose this doctor because he/his clinic is listed in the CDC's list of clinics providing vaccinations for overseas travel. Unfortunately, the office did not have the vaccinations I needed (including Hepatitis A, which I assume is fairly common) so Dr. Patel called in a prescription to my pharmacy (Rite-Aid). They wouldn't fill it, so I returned to get a paper script and tried another 3 pharmacies.
Dr. Patel recommended that I take time off from work to go to the NYC Clinic in Ft. Greene for my vaccinations. After trying 4 different pharmacies in Brooklyn (including two large chains, Rite-Aid and CVS, as well as two pharmacies recommended by Dr. Patel) I may have to do that, or schedule another visit with another Dr. who has the necessary vaccines. At the end of the day, however, that's probably another 4 hours of time spent on top of the 4 I've already spent trying to get these vaccines.
Other than this comedy of errors, Dr. Patel himself seemed friendly and personable. The front-desk personnel were very nice and the visit was handled efficiently, if a bit hurriedly. Bottom line, I cannot recommend this clinic, since I did not get the medical care / vaccinations that I needed prior to my trip.
