Horacio Groisman, MD is an board certified Otolaryngologist - Head and Neck Surgeon. He has been in practice in South Florida since 1984. He completed his residency program at Georgetown University in Washington DC.He received his medical degree from the university of Buenos Aires with honors. Dr. Groisman held elected positions as a President and Chief of Staff both of the old Cedars Medical Center and University of Miami Hospital. He was chief of ENT at Cedars Medical Center for 18 years as well as chief of surgery. He is a Fellow of the American Board of Otolaryngology as well as a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngologic Allergies and Sleep Medicine. Dr Groisman is a former Assistant Medical Professor at University of Miami Otolaryngology Department. He is a native Spanish Speaker. His practice is limited to adults

I would probably never recommend him. He was super rude, told me to "leave or start acting like an adult" when I complained of pain from one of his tests. He really didn't seem to know what he was talking about. He kept saying I had mono despite having took two negative mono tests. I ended up needing to go to the ER because my symptoms got worse and they doctors and nurses laughed when they saw what he prescribed me.

In spite of spending a considerable amount of time on his computer writing notes, this doctor had little sense of who I was or what I needed, and I felt extremely ill treated. There is an extreme lack of coherent communication. Over the course of two visits he had prescribed medication that he and I both knew worked and should be continued. However, after many phone calls and promises from his office to send the prescription to my pharmacy, he still would not sign off on the very medicine he himself had prescribed to my pharmacy which allows 90 day refills. By the next "follow up" visit, I had been without medication for a month. Since there was no point to this visit, I used it as an opportunity to tell him how furious I was at my treatment. To his credit, he chose not to charge me for our little "chat".

Firstly there is no restroom associated with his office with the exception of a bathroom 2 floors down.. Secondly I think that although Dr. Horacio may be efficient, I think his bedside manners could be more polished, especially upon meeting a new patient. Doctors should be addressing a patient's concern seriously as well as the diagnosis, then the joking and teasing could be taken for just that. I believe his diagnosis was correct but what he didn't address seriously were my concerns, especially due to my medical history.
