“ Dr. Janice Walker's is conveniently located near my house and the staff was friendly, fast and thorough. They even called to check on my arrival since I wasn't there a few minutes before my appointment. I was glad they called, as they gave me insight on how to find their office and I arrived right on the hour. Their automated system made it easy to sign in and share the information they needed. I really enjoyed Dr. Walker. She is friendly, professional, thorough and easy to talk to. Even though I do. not like going to the doctor, I enjoyed my visit with her.”

About Dr. Janice Walker
I am a family medicine physician at Memorial Healthcare System. I care for patients with everyday illnesses and injuries, as well as hypertension, hyperlipidemia, diabetes mellitus, and hypothyroidism. Routine physical exams and women’s healthcare, including Pap smears, are also provided in my practice.
I earned my Doctor of Medicine from the Medical College of Wisconsin, completed an internship in Family Medicine there, and finished my residency at All Saints Family Medicine. My parents inspired me to become a doctor. I grew up in Jamaica, where motivation was abundant. In prep school at age 9, I became fascinated with the heart, its complexity, and its interconnectedness with various body systems. I marveled at this gift of life and felt driven to pursue medicine focused on preventing conditions that compromise health. I chose family medicine as my specialty because it allows me to deliver comprehensive care for people of all ages.
My main goals when working with patients are to prevent illness and help them attain and maintain good health. As the patient’s main contact for health concerns, I assess and treat various conditions while developing trusting, long-lasting relationships. I work collaboratively with other physicians and community members invested in optimizing health and well-being. Having a team like we do at Memorial that addresses various components of patient care is crucial.
At Memorial Primary Care, we strive to be available to patients in many ways. We provide same-day or next-day appointments and can be reached by phone or electronically through MyChart.
I love making a positive impact on patients’ lives, especially when lifestyle adjustments drive change. I’ve had patients reduce or stop medications thanks to dietary changes, consistent exercise, stress management, and adequate rest. This means so much to patients and their families, impacting the community at large.

This was my first visit with Doctor Walker. I am very happy with visit. It’s the first time in a long time that I felt comfortable and confident in my provider. The wait time was maybe 5-10 minutes. The office is clean & organized. The staff is very welcoming and pleasant. Everyone was amazing at their respected position. Dr. Walker was l polite & listened to /addressed all of my concerns. 10/10!!
