The wait time was kind of long but the receptionist was very friendly and hospitable. Dr. Brooks really took the time to review my condition and listen to what I had to say. He asked me questions regarding my condition and was willing to go the extra mile with running the appropriate tests to find the source of the problem. Dr. Brooks was also very kind, friendly, and humorous. He was nice to be around. The nurse who saw me before Dr. Brooks went over my condition was also very friendly.

Howard Brooks is a Board certified family physician and primary care doctor, certified in family medicine and osteopathic family practice. Dr. Brooks began his medical education at the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. He then completed his internship at the Flint Osteopathic Hospital. Dr. Brooks was a postgraduate pediatric fellow at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. He is a member of the American Osteopathic Association.
Dr. Brooks practiced with a family practice in Folcroft from 1963 to 2003, and he engaged in various teaching positions as well. He frequently taught students on the topics of family and general practice, as well as osteopathic medicine. Dr. Brooks brings his love of teaching and healthcare to his patients, treating each by listening to their needs and applying his knowledge base and skill set to best serve their needs and well-being. Many of his illness consultations are performed within 45 minutes.

He was very thorough and asked a lot of good, probing questions. He took his time listening to my ailments and has a good approach to hopefully find out exactly what it is so it can be treated.

Good, knowledgable doctor who was pleasant and had a sense of humor. He lacked be standard bedside manners though, for example, he greeted me with a simple "hi" when he came in and didn't introduce himself. Similarly when we were done he simply left without a clear indication that we were finished and any goodbye. Also after asking me questions he suddenly started examining me without telling me first he was about to touch me or explain what he was going to do. Other than the bedside manners, he was in fact pleasant and had a good sense of humor and made some enjoyable small talk. He seems very knowledgable and after checking me up told me what he found and was very accurate about things I didn't tell him about.
