Betty is a compassionate and dedicated board-certified Adult-Geriatric Nurse Practitioner. She earned her Bachelor's degree from New York University and completed her Master's in Adult Gerontology Nursing at the University of Pennsylvania. Betty worked at Penn Medicine for six years on a busy medicine floor before moving to the Southwest, where she served as a primary care nurse practitioner in a small-town clinic, caring for teens, adults, and geriatric patients. She enjoys taking the time to get to know her patients in order to create personalized care plans that promote healing and prevent further illnesses.

My experience with the office and provider, was fantastic. However, Zocdoc was disappointing. I specifically searched for an obgyn. This practitioner came up in my search so I booked them only to find out when I arrived that they were not an obgyn. I'm grateful that she was able to help me the best she could.

Cannot recommend this place ENOUGH! Every time I’ve gone to the doctor in the past, I’ve felt rushed or unheard — but not here.
Before my appointment, I received super clear directions on how to find the office (which I loved), and I was greeted by a really friendly receptionist when I arrived. The space itself is cozy and welcoming — nothing like the typical cold hospital vibe. It instantly made me feel more comfortable and less stressed. And bonus: free NESPRESSO/Keurig/water in the lobby :)
Nurse Practitioner Betty is absolutely lovely. She listened attentively, was incredibly kind, and truly made me feel heard for the first time ever in the dr’s office. I’ll definitely be switching my PCP!

Their Jersey location is GORGEOUS! It's inside of a redone house, and it's so well decorated and beautiful. Staff is kind, welcoming, and professional. Betty was a total gem, made me comfortable immediately, and was a clear communicator.

She actually listened and didn't say what I needed or wanted to hear. She explained everything to me, she didn't just say " you need to get this test done because it's time" or " you need to get these tests done because it's past time." She explained what tests I needed to get done and why. I will definitely will e making future appointments with her again.

My experience was kind of confusing. I got there, waited about five minutes until my appointment started, paid my co-pay, and then spent maybe 10 minutes with her. I thought I was going in to talk about and get tested for food allergies, since that’s what I’ve been dealing with.
But apparently the info I entered online got cut off, so when I arrived, she wasn’t sure why I was there. I explained everything, and then she said something like, “Well, I’m not an allergist.” She gave me paperwork to go get a blood test related to the food allergies I mentioned, but I left feeling like she didn’t really understand why I had booked the appointment. What’s frustrating is that on Zocdoc, it specifically says she treats food allergies.

The environment was very relaxed; unlike any doctor’s office I’ve visited. This was a wonderful surprise and I was seen right away. I sat in the lovely waiting area for 3 minutes tops. Betty was courteous and prompt.

I’m used to my PCP being more full serviced. They had to refer me out for everything I’m used to getting done at the PCP: Pap smear, bloodwork, urine test. They were nice enough, but overall it felt like a waste of time.

She seemed quite dismissive with the concerns I wanted to discuss. She also was slightly judgmental with certain things I had brought up. Overall I did not feel like I was taken seriously, and the issues I wanted to get more insight on were pushed to the side. She almost made it seem like I was being dramatic or self diagnosing, which I wasn't trying to do.

I scheduled an appointment for a sick visit and the provider didn’t have any testing materials prepared. She said “we’re not an urgent care so I primarily do physicals, not sick visits.”
I had to ask for a Covid test and she said she hasn’t done one in a while because “we’re out of that season” but she gave me one which I appreciated, it was negative.
I explained that I have fever, chills, headache, and a cough with mucus and she said it just sounds like a cold and didn’t test me for the flu. She was about to send me home with no meds or advice aside from “drink water and make sure you’re eating.” I had to ask what she recommended over the counter rather than her giving me any direction.
Overall, I wish I would’ve just gone to urgent care.
