Dr. Howard J. Levy is a Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon specializing in sports medicine, arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder and knee. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Miami, followed by a sports medicine fellowship at the American Sports Medicine Institute in Birmingham, Alabama. He is currently an Attending Orthopedic Surgeon in Sports Medicine at Lenox Hill Hospital and Beth Israel Medical Center in New York City Dr. Levy consults for three Division I colleges and several other local universities, Public Schools Athletic League (PSAL), private high schools, Association of Volleyball Professionals (AVP), the U.S. Pro Ski Tour and NFL Charities Youth Football Program. He is the founding director of G.A.M.E., a non-for-profit foundation dedicated to providing medical care to student athletes. He was great! Dr. Levy is what a dr SHOULD be like. Very happy that I came across his name. His bedside manner was not like the stereotypical dr. You can tell he actually has a heart and isn't just about the knife. He seems like a normal person who just happens to be a doctor. I would recommend him to anyone who needs his services. Even though I had to wait a bit (about 30 min), it was extremely worth it. I didn't feel rushed or feel that he wasn't listening to me. His PA was very nice and helpful too. I am actually looking forward to having surgery with him.
