Verified Patient Reviews
I have been a Dr. Mayer's patient for about a year. I think he is exceptional. I would recommend him to anyone with glaucoma. He is both knowledgeable and kind.
Although the waiting room was packed, the administrative staff did a superb job in professionally and politely managing the flow. As a new patient, I had some insurance questions that Tom resolved straightaway. Danielle, the medical assistant that performed the preliminary examination was superb! She is very competent and confident yet her caring and pleasant manner is what one remembers the most. Dr. Mayer added to the pleasant experience with his warm smile and genuinely-caring bedside manner. He did an outstanding job communicating; I never felt rushed. Strongly recommend Dr. Mayer and his associates—without reservation.
I have been seeing Dr. Mayer for about five years and I am extremely satisfied with his care. I have so much trust in his decisions and have no hesitation to go by what he suggests.
Dr. Mayer is an excellent doctor. He was very thoughtful and patient and clearly explained my condition and a conservative approach to monitoring something that is very minor. If you don't mind waiting, I highly recommend him.
I like Dr Mayer a lot. I've seen him numerous times since March 2015. I think he is kind, knowledgeable and straightforward in his approach. I would recommend him highly. As for the visit, it could've been shorter as the tech who was getting me and my records ready for the appointment with him disappeared for long enough at one point that I started to wonder if she was coming back at all. She eventually got someone else to take over for her and after that things went quickly. That is my only complaint about the overall visit.
It was my first visit and the first impression was very good. He seemed warm, professional and knowledgeable. I decided to continue with him because I had a good feeling in my spirit.
Dr, Mayer is very kind and thoughtful in his explanation of my eye problem. His answers were thorough and easy for a lay person to understand.
The doctor is excellent. He is thorough, knowledgeable, and very skilled. He took time to carefully explain and answer any questions. I wish his office staff was more professional. However, his office staff is poor at best. The office manager or receptionist did not check the Zoc Doc database information and did not have my appointment scheduled. Instead of a simple apology, the office manager tried to convince me that I could not read the reminder email correctly. I showed her the email and the date it was sent. She then said that I needed to reschedule. When I shared that I could reschedule but asked for parking reimbursement, she told me that they could fit me in. They obliviously did not have the time to effectively provide medical services. The eye technician assigned (Sara) didn't do a refraction for new eyeglasses even though I wrote notes prior to the appointment stating I may need new eyeglasses. No one read the Zoc Doc notes or checked my medical record to see that my eye glass prescription was out of date and not valid. I am not a new patient and was very disappointed. I left the office after more than 2 hours without a valid prescription and the technician informed me that any optometrist could check my vision. I couldn’t believe the lack of professionalism and customer service. Also, the technician said that I should not use Zoc Doc and that is why they didn’t have my appointment requests.
Professional, easy manner from a doctor who answers questions with just the right mix of knowable expertise and experience but in a fashion that is easy to comprehend. Dr. Mayer spends time to cover all options, treatments and concerns. He is thorough and competent. My last appointment was stuffed up due to the online scheduler, but Dr. Mayers staff fitted me in instead of rescheduling.....hence the longer than usual wait!! So kudos the them too. Very happy with my care here and especially Dr. Mayer.
He seemed to be very knowledgeable. I picked him because he specializes in Glaucoma. Very professional and seemed genuinely concern. Answered all questions.
Thoroughly professional staff from start to finish. Best experience in a doctor's office in a long while.
Staff is professional and helpful. Dr Meyer is a a very attentive, patient and reassuring eye physician. .
Most excellent visit. Dr. Mayer is a true professional.
He is very personable and shows genuine concern and care.
Knows what he is doing, and the office is well equipped with the latest technology to control your vision.
He explained everything in a manner that was very understandable.
Doctor was very personable and informative. Office staff was polite and courteous. But they did seem to lose me in the shuffle -- after waiting over half an hour in the waiting area, I went back up to the desk and they then took me soon thereafter. I think it was a fluke.
From beginning to end, it was a wonderful experience. Samatha at the reception area is FABULOUS!; Suki the technician is AWESOME!; and Dr. Mayer is ABSOLUTELY THE BEST! Everyone talks to you; not at you or in medical speak; I walked away feeling informed and grateful that I made the appointment.
I cannot speak highly enough about Dr. Mayer's technical and communication skills. He is exceptional
Dr. Mayer's staff was professional and helpful. Dr. Mayer conducted a thorough eye examination and answered all my questions. I waited about 25 minutes before his assistant took me to the back, but I think the patient before me was late to her appointment. I would highly recommend him to a friend!
The location is very convenient and easy to find. Parking was a breeze. Wait time to see Dr. Mayer was less than 10 minutes! Dr. Mayer is very thorough and addressed all of my questions and concerns. I will definitely come see him regularly for my glaucoma treatment.
Dr. Mayer's communication and conduct was exemplary: pleasant, competent, informative, and reassuring.
Very professional and personal. I need a doctor on a long term basis and he's the one I've chosen!
Very good visit. He explained the problem that may or may not happen in the future. Very friendly and professional
He is the most professional, competent eye doctor I have ever been to. I would have given full 5 stars on everything if I could have skipped all the 15 min-long paperwork during my wait time - particularly because all my info remained the same as of my previous visit three months before, but I was told every new year you need to fill in all the forms again. Reception desk could solve this issue by simply printing a form with all your previous information and letting you opt to change whatever info you may want to. Better, they could send the form in advance by email.
Dr. Mayer was very helpful. He explained his diagnosis in plain English and fully explained the treatment options including possible side-effects. He was very reassuring.
I think this was a highly professinal appointment with Dr. Mayer. I would recommend him to anyone. I'm glad that my eye care has his professional attention. I'm very pleased with his professional treatment and suggestions.
Doctor Mayer left a very positive impression on me,as a dedicated professional, welcoming and highly attentive to his duties.
Very professional, knowledgable and focused on me. I felt the prescription for preventive measures for future conditions was pro active and appropriate for my age and current condition.
Dr. Mayer was great!! Very thorough ... will definately see again in future!!
He was extremely professional and very, very knowledgable. Explained my situation in layman's terms. Excellent physician.
So smart. Very sensitive to patient's concerns and personal history. Explains details of your exam with great clarity and in understandable language. Excellent support staff. All around superb.
