Check-in was fast, and the nurses were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, Dr. Kirschenbaum didn’t ask many questions about my chronic diarrhea (6 weeks) or offer possible causes. He left the room multiple times mid-conversation, making it hard to ask follow-ups. For an external hemorrhoid, he tried using a wall light that didn’t work and asked to use my phone flashlight instead. The exam was rushed and painful—he inserted his finger abruptly and said he felt nothing, despite a clear external lump I’d felt myself. He prescribed creams without explaining what they were for; I had to ask the nurse. When I asked about the doctor constantly rushing out, the nurse sighed and said he can be aloof and suggested I see another GI in the office next time. The staff was great, but the doctor’s communication, bedside manner, and thoroughness left me very disappointed. Sharing this so others can decide for themselves.

He just couldn’t speak properly, couldn’t directly assess the problem or give a solution. I explained an odd situation happening to me health wise, and his decision to take a breath test only occurred after i mentioned taking one from a different doctor 4 years ago. Super unhelpful, not a good listener, don’t understand how he got his degree. It’s another day of Healthcare in america.

I would not recommend them for the fact that they never told me that my insurance would not be accepted prior to the appointment, even though they clearly indicated on Zocdoc that they do accept my insurance.
