My visit with Dr. llora Rafique was an overall great experience. She was prompt, professional, friendly and informative. I would highly recommend her if you're in search of a primary care doctor in the Pelham Gardens area.

Upon graduation in 1997 from SUNY Health Science Center in Brooklyn receiving her Medical Degree, Dr Rafique began a career dedicated to underserved communities with dignity and cultural sensitivity to diverse communities throughout Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn, Bronx, and Westchester. In the year 2000 she completed Residency Program Internal Medicine specially trained in the Biopsychosocial model in the Bronx at Montefiore Medical Center. To enhance her ability to advocate for her patients and her profession , Dr Rafique completed a Masters in Public Health from Columbia University focusing on Health Policy & Management. During the past five years , she managed a large hospital based practice at Montefiore Medical Group, serving as a Medical Director with intention to improve the primary care experience. Her experience as a caregiver, supporting her mother’s illness fueled an interest in holistic approaches and was determined to expand it to primary care. Dr Rafique has been accepted to University Arizona Integrative Medicine Fellowship with access to the nation’s experts in the field. Nirvana Integrative Medicine is deeply rooted in its commitment to provide a healing space where a patient’s full potential for wellness can be enlightened and empowered.

I was recently in an accident and found Dr. Rafique was gentle attentive and very comprehensive in my examination. I felt that she was very thourough and caring. I would recomend her to anyone especially if you avoid going to the Dr. because of the impersonal attitudes of some professionals in this field; she is the complete opposite!!!
