SO helpful, informative, calm and responsive. It's rare to find a doctor who isn't condescending and dismissive, and Dr. Buckner has both a genuine concern for his patients and great bedside manner. Being referred to a hematologist is an anxiousexperience. He explains everything thoroughly and assumes his patients are intelligent enough to have their concerns addressed and respected.

The difference between my 1st and 2nd appointments is the difference between night and day. Initially, Dr. Buckner was very attentive, kind, thorough, etc. I was referred to him, by my PCP, after nearly 2 years of symptoms that were unresolved. In the end, the symptomology was completely dismissed by Dr. Buckner and I was told that I simply needed to lose weight. I am well aware of my weight issues. But I have struggled with weight all my life and am not one who just runs to the doctor. And to be dismissed... well, it's not uncommon but it's not ok.

The visit was a follow up to my shoulder injury . Dr BUCKNER went to great lengths to ensure that the surgeon who is proposing to do the surgery is the best Surgeon and that the Surgeon’s diagnosis of the problemis absolutely correct and the procedure to be undertaken is the right one .

Dr. Buckner was very professional. He took his time talking to me about my health and lifestyle. Was easy to talk to and had a number or recomendations for me. He's a throw back to the Dr. Welby days.

When Dr. Buckner first asked me who I was, I thought I had misunderstood him. So I asked him to repeat the question. I am seventy-seven years old and no physician has ever had the slightest interest in who I amas a person rather than as a patient. How amazing! He also told me a bit about himself--as a person rather than as a physician. Truly amazing. And the really good part is that he confirmed my own diagnosis that I didn't need to see a hematologist.

I went to this office for annual test first time last month. The doctor looks professional, and really kind. BUT!!!! Before I did the test, I confirmed with the doctor my visit is only for preventive care, and I will nohave any charge for this visit. He confirmed that, and have a blood test and urine test for me. A few weeks later, I got noticed that my urine result is failed. Today, I got a bill from lab. I contacted to the office, the assistant is just let me contact insurance company and do nothing to solve this issue. Then I emailed to the office and claim that doctor office should change my issuance claim code because I did not request the test which need to be paid. They did not address the issue, instead, they let me call back and send me a warning email. Finally, I call them and get a phone picked up. The assistant confirm my ID, then did not let me say a word. She was just yelling and quarreled with no respect, rude, and crazy. I have no idea what did she do. I requested to speak with doctor. She refused. Conclude, I have to pay the test which I did not request, and the doctor promise no further paid test. I have no my urine result which I should have. In additional to the office assistant, she was profanity, disrespectful, warning, and didn't take any responsibility. Until now, I did not have a chance to talked with the doctor.

Dr. Buckner has been my physician for 19 years. As a single-doctor practitioner in Midtown, he is not rushed and his approach is personal and not "corporate" medicine. As a respected member of the NYC medical community, he always recommendsspecialists who are the best in their fields. I highly recommend him.

This visit was a total waste of time and money. While the wait time was within reason, what I got was a nasty old man who refused to take 90% of my medical history, kept asking me what I wanted himfor even though I plainly stated that I need a new G.P. to be a central point of reference in my medical care and to turn to for minor and general problems. He did no exam except for B.P., and I was dismissed to continue working with specialists, after I was lectured that I should have all of my doctors in one hospital.

Dr. Buckner has been been my PCP for several decades. I’ve always felt he’s had my best interest as a priority. He provides constructive commentary to my inquiry and guides me toward appropriate treatment. He is foremost interested in the long-termeffects of his recommendations - what will serve me best in future years; not just a few months! Good listener. When our paths cross outside of work, he recognizes me & even takes a moment to offer up a hand shake and a brief inquiry.____ Frank W.

Highly, highly recommend this very special doctor. Dr. Buckner and I ended up having a very quick consultative appointment, but my wife and I were completely blown away by the quality of courtesy and professional insight we received. We feltlistened to and personally acknowledged- it was clear Dr. Buckner viewed us as a family walking in with concerns and spoke to us firstly as people rather than as symptoms in need of treatment or people coming in with silly concerns. Not only was Dr. Buckner kind and generous with his explanations in person, but we were pleasantly surprised to receive a personal note via email with a link to something we had tangentially discussed. Thank you so much Dr. Bruckner!

Dr. Buckner was not very thorough and overall seemed rush during my checkup. I did not feel like he genuinely cared or wanted to answer the questions I had for him. It was my first visit with him and would probablynot return after that visit. I spent more time in the waiting room than I did actually even in the examination room. He may have more affinity towards his recurring patients, but as a new patient I do not recommend going to see this doctor.
