Despite the fact that I think I waited pretty long to be seen, I felt thoroughly examined and I understood why. Dr Merchant was thorough and he asked a lot of questions. He did research and made sure that he came up with the best treatment options for my condition. He wanted to refer me to the best specialists and the best therapists. I really liked and appreciated him. I’m glad I found him.

Went well I was glad he was familiar with my former neurologist.

It’s unbelievably unprofessional, i’m showing up for my appointment and the staff telling me that doctor called out. They didn’t even called me to inform me or sending a message.

The doctor is too old , he doesn’t hear well, his nail were long and unclean and his white coat was brownish from the dirt I don’t think he ever washed it. I’m sorry but I have to say this. How can he still practice as a neurologist and his hearing is zero he had no idea what’s going on. And the worst part was the waiting time 3 hrs , horrible! I don’t recommend this doctor at all , I’m very disappointed.

The waiting In pain is horrible. The staff simply says it’s not their fault yet it’s due to the office overbooking. So if you come to this office be prepare to wait for over two hours to be called and an hour with the doctor !

They were saying they take Medicaid but at the office they said we don’t take this kind of Medicaid because they pay VERY LESS AMMOUNT

I had booked the appointment the night before it said the doctor had several appointments so I took the 11am but the receptionist said since I didn’t get the confirmation from zocdoc I had to wait 5 hours. That wasn’t great at all. Why do you have to confirm if you had openings.

The staff was very friendly. This is a very out dated place. They gave me a stack of paper forms to fill out. They do not use electronic records at all. The Dr. Seems as if he is retiring soon and he seemed to have a cold, with a cough and runny nose. I never was told what was going on with my headaches. I was told to take Tylenol or Advil. He gave me a written order paper script for a MRI with contrast. I have not seen a paper script in years nor have I seen a Dr. Hand write notes in years and I work in the Health field. This area of Queens suffer from major health disparities. I will not return there. I have to go to my regular doctors at NYU in the city. Being nice is not equivalent to good health care.

Dr. Merchant and the rest of staff were highly professional and compassionate. I was told “You seem fine, I’m sure it’s nothing to worry about” by a prior hospital due to my age being so young. Dr. Merchant took my symptoms seriously and I was able to finally get some answers; I could tell he’s truly passionate and knowledgeable about his field and helping his patients. Will be booking with Dr. Merchant I’m the future! 10000/10 Amazing!

The intake forms were literally the size of a book. It took 20min! to do the paperwork alone, and skipped many many pages. Even after that waited an addntl 1.5hrs after my appt time to see doctor.. Dr Merchant was cool, he asked good questions, gave good recommendations, and listened to my issues. He's good, maybe the office was having an offday.
Verified patient
The doctor was very professional with both his advice and recommendations and listened thoroughly to every detail that his patient was addressing regarding the pain situation.

This office was the best doctors office visit I have ever had. I was greeted with a welcome folder, personalized to me. Everyone was extremely friendly and hospitable, and the atmosphere was just wonderful. I would recommend all my family and friends to go to the doctors office. They were so kind. I did not mind the wait , because the wait showed me that they were thorough.

Doctor is very genius 100% recommend

I needed to see a brain neurologist. Dr. Merchant was a chiropractic neurologist. This was not indicated on Zocdoc. I also waited over one hour for my appointment with the doctor which was inexcusable. Staff was nice though and doctor did give me a prescription despite not being the type of doctor I needed to see. Zocdoc needs to be more specific with types of specialists. I waisted my time.

Dr. Iqbal is one of the best doctor I have ever come across. He sees every patient with complete calm and without any rush. That’s why sometime there is long wait but it’s worth it. Because he gives every patient ample time. He is very experienced and knowledgeable.I will highly recommend Dr. Iqbal
