I had my first child with him and was afraid he may not be practicing on my second. Guess what, he is! He is a straight shooter and I love it. He is honest and experienced and puts my mind at ease. If you want a fluffy doctor, he is not it. If you want to be sure you and your little one are in great hands, go to Dr. B. We are expecting next month and are so grateful to have found him.

If you need to reschedule your appointment, please call at least 24 hours in advance and if it is after hours please leave a message with our service. We realize that emergencies that happens, in that case please call as soon as possible. Missing your appointment without calling us 24 hours in advance will result in a fee. If you miss 3 appointments without notification, you may be dismissed from the practice. Rescheduling appointments as a new patient the day of without a phone call to the office will result into no future appointments
2. We are committed to maintaining an atmosphere of mutual respect in our office. You should expect to be treated with sensitivity and courtesy during all aspects of your care. We would like to hear from you if you feel that is not your experience. We will also expect the same courtesy towards or Doctors/Staff.
3. We are available by phone to answer questions you might have. If we feel that your concerns are best addressed at an office visit, we will schedule it. During office hours, non-urgent phone calls will be answered by the end of the day. If you feel that your situation requires immediate attention, please let the receptionist know.
4. Any co-payments that you owe are expected at the time of your visit. It is your responsibility to check if tests or procedures offered are covered by your insurance. Our billing representative is available to answer any questions that you might have.

I made the appointment via Zocdoc a few days ago. I called to confirm appointment because it still said pending. Reception was good and confirmed appointment.
On the day of appointment, I arrive 15mins early, the MA immediately attended me.
After doing vitals, MA said I need to go to the docs office since I’m a new patient.
She walks me in, he’s texting on his phone. Had to wait for him to be done. So I sat down on his office chairs. Still waiting to be acknowledged.
When he finally did, he said he wasn’t taking anymore pregnant patients as of December 2019.
He was rude, and didn’t even do a check up or anything. Said 3 words and he was done.

Dr. Buterman is what one would call "old school". He means well but his bed side manner is very blunt and under expressive. You really have to pull information from him. In addition the office is not digitized, there is no email or portal, everything is done over the phone and often no-one calls you back. I think I got average care, but I really had to be proactive and aggressive. That being said, his office is always full.

My last visit was very uncomfortable. Dr. Buterman seemed very distracted and in a rush. I scheduled an appointment as I was afraid and concerned about some symptoms. After the exam he opened the door while I was still exposed. Bedside manner was not good, but maybe he was having a bad day as this was not the experience I had during my previous visit.

i have been seeing Dr Buterman for over 15 years and I have never been treated with less than complete professionalism, attentiveness and care. His experience and approach on treatment of any ailments I have encountered were handled with the utmost care and with extreme knowledge and explanations of treatment approaches were full explained and evaluated.

Creepy dude. Was only there for birth control but he insisted on doing an exam when i had just had one two weeks before. He was very rough andt hen he smelled his fingers and called me "baby". Wouldnt reccomend any young woman coming here.

This was my first time using Dr Butterman. I used his service based on ratings from my health insurance. My reason for not recommending him partially for his service, but due to his staff which you will NEED to interact with if you go to this doctor. I went in for a routine yearly check and some lab work was ordered. We never discussed what the lab work was going to be. For that I don't think it was correct from him - he should have gone over the details. Then I received a bill from my insurance saying that they requested 14 lab exams with outrageous prices and were mostly not covered. I am a healthy 27 year old going for a routine exam and I am not sure of why these were all ordered. No other doctor had done this before. I tried calling the office to get my medical records which would show what was ordered and why. Someone named Monica started transferring me saying I needed to talk to the lab before I was even done asking my question. I was confused since I was not sure of why they would transfer me to a lab so I could get my records from the doctor (or why would the lab have my medicine records for that matter?). I called back and they didn't pick up. When they finally did pick up, she doesn't want to speak to me once again, is calling me things like sweet heart and all of those words that you try to say when you want to diminish someone without being explicit. After much back and forth she explains that by lab she meant their own nurse. There is no way I would know that beforehand, and there is no reason why she couldn't have said I needed to speak to the nurse. When I explained to her that except for them, nobody else would say that la is their own nurse, she once again transferred me with no notice. I tried to call and give feedback to the front desk, and the woman Ashley said that this is how they treat their customers. And apparently I should have known that lab means their own nurse. I will be resolving this issue and I will never be coming back.

The office needs to be organized a little bit better. For example, when I had to leave a urine sample there was several cups on the sink that other patients left still sitting there. This is not good one bit. Plus patients are put in the examination room to then go to the doctors office then back to exam room to be examined. This is sooo u organized. Dr. Buterman treats he's patient very well but as far as the office organization it is horrible. I would put it lasts this office as far as mistakes made because lack of organization.
