Made me feel super comfortable. He's very professional and funny. I'll defiantly be returning to his office.
I think he is an amazing doctor and knows everything. He is very nice and makes you feel very comfortable. His staff and nurses are soooo nice and very friendly. His waiting room is clean and pretty. I only waited 10 mns . I would for sure recommend him.
Dr. Buterman is the way a good Dr should be. I trust him implicitly. He is caring and makes sure that the patient feels comfortable and asks if the patient has any questions and he really means it. He has been my physician for many years. I just wish him good health so that he can continue to provide the excellent care that he has been giving throughout the years. I highly recommend him !

Professional, friendly, patient.
I am a patient of his for years - he is great - would defibnately recommend him and his office
I absolutely love Dr Buterman,
He is a great doctor. He knows how to make you feel at ease. Love the Christopher Walken Brooklyn accent!
First things first: Dr. Buterman is fantastic. He is an exceptionally skilled OB who made my pregnancy an easy, stress free, and surprisingly funny experience. If this review were only keyed to his knowledge and bedside manner, I would give him five stars--hands down. I do think, however, that there are some serious problems with his office staff and nurses. My medical forms and test results were frequently misplaced/lost; I was billed for blood work and urine analysis that was never performed; basic logistical details about my pregnancy (e.g. preregistering at Lenox Hill up to six weeks before my delivery) were never communicated to me; my insurance details were incorrectly noted 2-3 times and billing practices were not clearly explained; and the nurses often gave conflicting information about medical procedures (e.g., one chided me for not getting a 30 week biophysical profile that the doctor had never mentioned). Additionally, the office does not seem to be up-to-date on screening protocols for pregnant women. For instance, universal screening for toxoplasmosis is no longer recommended for low-risk women due to the rate of high false positives, but the nurses insisted I do it at 32 weeks--long after it would have made a difference for the fetus or for me. Maybe it's ironic, but for me the most stressful part of being pregnant was dealing with these various glitches on the part of Dr. Buterman's support team. I started my care with a different provider (in a different state; we moved when I was about 12 weeks along), so I know that this is not the norm. The three star rating, then, is to let other women know that if you do choose Dr. Buterman as your OB, you must be an advocate for yourself and stay vigilant about the details of your healthcare. If you're okay with that, there's really no better OB out there.
I had a colposcopy done- he put me at ease- great doctor- funny! :)
I have been seeing Dr Butterman for years. I would recommend him to anyone who I think he can help. He cares about his patients and takes the time to answer any question you might have.
We absolutely love him.
Dr. Buterman has incredible bedside manner and has a way of putting me at ease. Took the time to answer all my questions. Great doctor
Professional, kind, and over all very informative. I recommend Dr. Buterman highly.
He was extremely professional and well mannered. Very nice doctor.
At first he intimidated me only because his demeanor reminded me of my grandfather. But when he spoke he was a comedian and straight to the point. His charisma won me over. He definitely has a new patient.
He is patient & takes a personal interest in his patients.
After my last visit with him, I'm searching for a new doctor. I have hit my breaking point with the waiting times and the rushed nature of the visit when I actually do get to see him. For once-a-year check-ups, it's not a big deal, but now that I'm pregnant and have to go in every few weeks, it's not working out. I can't be skipping out of work for 2-3 hours for these appointments. Plus, the doctor barely spends any time talking to me. He spent about a minute (not exaggerating) for my last appointment, for which I waited more than 1.5 hours to see him. He was practically out the door before I could even rattle off a few questions I had. In fact I had more questions I would have liked to ask, but he was in such a hurry to get out of there that I felt I couldn't ask them. (Mind you this is in the exam room with the nurses present; he didn't offer to meet with me separately in his office afterwards). I have spent lots of time doing research and informing myself, but there are some things you just want to talk to your doctor about (especially as this is my first pregnancy). I waited a long time to see him, so one would think he could also be respectful of my time and give me say, more than one minute to discuss my questions and concerns. Unfortunately this wasn't the case.
It was my first visit with Dr. Buterman. I felt quite comfortable. Quite easy to communicate with. I'm glad a friend recommended me to try him.
Great! Fast and easy!
Dr Buterman is terrific with more experience than 3 doctors. I am grateful to call him one of my doctors.
The best doctor!
I am happy I had an appointment with Dr. Buterman as he is very thorough with his tests, kind and caring,
I would recommend Dr Butternan to anyone. He care about his patient wellbeing.
Excellent. Such a nice, kind with perfect manners and highly professional. Happy to have him as my doctor.
I was extremely happy with my visit. He is warm, caring and answered all my questions. His staff was great. I would recommend him to friends and family.
Great surgeon, would recommend to relatives and friends.
His bedside manners are fabulous. I didn't think it was possible!
Exactly what a gynecologic visit should be.
staff is borderline polite, but nobody's nice / warm. Doc didn't even say hello, told me to sit down and then said "talk to me". While explaining the results of my test, he took a call and started talking to a friend about going to the opera. Half-joked about something I really didn't think was appropriate to joke about. Office seems outdated and not spotlessly clean. Doc's desk was littered with magazines / nicknacks etc. I assume he's professional and knows what he's doing, but the overall atmosphere makes me find another doctor.
I thought Dr. Buterman was kind, compassionate and caring. He is just the kind of doctor I was looking for.
I was reccomended to Dr. Buterman by my PCP and my GYN. I was very ill and extremely nervous when I went to see him. He immediately recognized that I was nervous and distraught over my illness and the prospect of not being able to have children. He reassured me that I would be better and that there were options. Dr. Buterman and his staff were very professional, and pleasant each time I went to the office.
Excellent care before, during and after pregnancies!!! Top notch Dr. Highly recommend! He listens, he cares, and keeps you at ease!!! THanks Dr. Buterman for being a great doctor
Professional and caring. Would recommend to anyone!
Appointment took nearly 2 hours, due to all of the waiting. I was moved from room to room and asked the same questions more than once. But, Dr. Buterman was fairly friendly.
Very friendly, professional, and pain free.
Very professional, truly cares about his patients.
