Our third child, our daughter, "K", has been a patient of Dr. Ware's for over 2 years. Up to that point, we met with a psychologist & then a therapist, who both played with & talked to he but, aside from being her friend, didn't help her. Nothing changed. Things got worse. Our home life was horrible - with "K's" temper tantrums & meltdowns & my overwhelming guilt for not being able to fix her. "K" was over medicated, threatening to run away or commit suicide, afraid to grow up, friendless & exhibited socially inappropriate behavior. She was only 11 years old. We'd been licing a nightmare for over 3 years. At wit's end, we found Dr. Ware & life changed. Dr. Ware has keen insight into human nature, adolescent behavior & parental responsibility. He is, at times, painfully blunt & honest, both with the child & the caregiver. His focus is on what is RIGHT, not what is WRONG. His goal is to coach parents on how to raise their child into a mature, responsible, confident, independent, contributing member of society. He is not the "fixer" but the mentor & cheerleader - guiding & encouraging the caregiver to implement practical, common sense principles at home & as a way of life. Dr. Ware has greatly improved the quality of our family's life. Today, we have a thriving 14 year old teenager who is more age appropriate, more engaging & more confident. We are still a work in process, she is still a teenager but we still have Dr. Ware.

Look no further! You will not find a better child psychiatrist in metro Atlanta. We have seen Dr. Ware since 2006 and my then three year old was one his way to a self contained autism class. He is now a happy smart, athletic nine year old in a regular education class. If you are willing to work hard and are tired of 10 minute medication checkups....Dr Ware is the right Dr. for you!

I'm privileged to be a client of Dr. Ware's. I entered his office wondering what was wrong with me and how i could be "fixed". Dr Ware, through his vast wealth of knowledge and expertise taught me to deal with my feelings. Through easy exercises I began to focus on my feeling and their intensity, no matter how big or small. And I realized, "I'm normal." I've grown as a person, I've become a more effective parent and I'm a more attentive partner thanks to Dr. Ware. I'm no longer watching list as a bystander. I'm living it as an active participant and praising God daily for Dr. Ware, he is a blessing!
