I started working with Dr. Chen during one of the lowest points in my life, and I truly cannot overstate how grateful I am to have found her. She offers deeply compassionate, thoughtful care and creates a space where I feel genuinely heard and understood. What makes her stand out is that she integrates real talk therapy into medication management, rather than treating them as separate lanes. She is incredibly knowledgeable about medications, but she also takes the time to understand the full picture of who you are and what you are going through. Her cultural awareness and understanding of the unique pressures facing women and people of color have meant more to me than I can express.

As someone who had never seen a psychologist before, I was a bit nervous going into my first session. However, from the very beginning, Dr. Chen made me feel completely at ease. She has a welcoming presence that immediately put me in a space where I felt safe to open up.
What I especially appreciate is how she incorporates positive affirmations into our sessions. It’s something I hadn’t experienced before, and it’s really helped me shift how I speak to and think about myself. She’s attentive and always listens without judgment, which has been vital to me as I learn to navigate therapy for the first time.
Furthermore, one of the things I deeply appreciate is her understanding and sensitivity to cultural norms. She never makes assumptions and takes the time to understand where I'm coming from, which has helped me feel seen on a deeper level.
I’m grateful for her support and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a skilled and affirming psychologist.

Ongoing session rate: $250 for 15 med/ refills, 400 for 30 mins, 600 for 45 mins

Dr. Chen was prompt, and spent over the 45 mins scheduled with me to listen attentively to my current health concerns. She provided a clear explanation for what I may be dealing with and went over different treatment plans for me. I opted to continue weekly therapy sessions with her and this has been going well. I appreciate that she creates a safe space for me each week.
