Dr. Jacob A. Clark is a board certified ophthalmologist and a graduate of the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine in his native San Juan. He completed his internship and residency at the U.P.R. Medical Center and subsequently went on to do a fellowship in glaucoma and anterior segment, with emphasis on cataract surgery, at Hartford Hospital in Hartford, Connecticut. Dr. Clark has been a physician since 1981 and has been practicing in Northern Virginia since 1987. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and is a member of the Northern Virginia Academy of Ophthalmology, and the American Medical Association, among other professional societies. His primary surgical specialty is providing the latest in sutureless cataract removal. He performs surgery at Alexandria Hospital where he has previously been involved with teaching medical students and residents. Dr. Clark was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico in 1958.
