“This was the first appointment I've had in forever to get my eyes checked out, so I had no idea what to expect.
The pre-screening was incredibly thorough and utilized all kinds of technology that I was completely new to including eye pressure gauging, a depth perception card, and plenty more.
What was even more impressive though was Dr. Moapichai. She was incredibly patient with all of my many questions. She didn't bog me down with a thousand medical terms and took her time explaining things in everyday language.
Having dealt with many providers over the years who treat you like another invoice they're churning though to earn a buck, and getting you in an out of their office as quickly as possible, this was the complete opposite experience. You can tell she genuinely cares about her profession, and her parients. I'll definitely be returning annually!

About Dr. Chantana Moapichai
Dr. Chantana Moapichai, B.S., O.D. is a TPA Board-Certified Optometrist providing optometric primary care in Alexandria, Virginia. Dr. Moapichai earned her undergraduate degree from Virginia Commonwealth University and went on to receive her doctorate degree from Pennsylvania College of Optometry. Dr. Moapichai's areas of interest include low vision rehabilitation and ocular disease. She received training from the Feinbloom Low Vision Center at the The Eye Institute in Philadelphia, PA where her passion for the visually impaired community all began. She completed externships in ocular disease from DiLorenzo Pentagon Health Clinic in Washington D.C. and South Charlotte Veteran Affairs Clinic in North Carolina. She also completed an optical clerkship in San Juan, Puerto Rico. In her free time, Dr. Moapichai enjoys journaling, reading, and spending time with her friends and family.

I had an outstanding experience with Dr. O.D. Chantana Moapichai and the entire staff. From the moment I walked in, everyone was welcoming, professional, and genuinely caring. The office was clean, organized, and made me feel comfortable right away.
Dr. Moapichai took the time to thoroughly examine my eyes, explain everything in a way I could easily understand, and answer all of my questions without making me feel rushed. It’s clear that they truly care about their patients and take pride in providing excellent care.

Dr. Moapichai was amazing. She was efficient, knowledgeable, friendly and made me feel at ease. I haven't seen an eye doctor in over ten years and she was definitely worth the wait. I am referring my son to her, as well. It was a very pleasant experience plus I got some very cute frames.
