My roots are in St.Louis and I am a graduate of St. Louis School of Medicine. My ObGyn residency training was in Fresno, CA with University of California-San Francisco.
While I saw myself as an ObGyn, not just a physician, I took a very circuitous path on this journey of becoming a board certified ObGyn. Prior to this career I was a practicing Certified Public Accountant and prior to that I was a server. I put myself through school by waiting tables. I am a National Health Service Corp scholar alumnus so I have been committed to underserved populations my entire medical career. I enjoy all aspects of ObGyn, from spending time with patients in the office to catching babies and performing surgical procedures. I have special interest in obesity medicine.

Dr.Cooper is the best doctor I've ever had. She listens to my concers and treats me like a human being, versus just a patient. I love her down to earth approach, and I also appreciate that she treats my health issues in a way that doesn't just treat my symptoms, but the underlying causes.

This was probably not the best experience I had with a doctor in a long time. The nurse and staff were fantastic, though! Very kind!! The appointment that should have only taken a few minutes (10-15 mins at most) was close to 45-50 mins where the doctor was giving me advice on marriage, how to set up a dating profile, and when I wanted to put my clothes on she told me to wait because she was about to leave but wanted to read me something from her husbands dating profile. I was also told, “I’m fluffy too, you can find a husband”. I’m sure her intentions were good but it was very inappropriate. I also felt that she hadn’t read my file because she asked me what kind of birth I had, yet on the intake forms I specifically wrote I never had any children. Which made me wonder if she was in the correct exam room. I felt like I was in a sitcom show from Jane the Virgin.

Dr. Cooper took the time to explain to me everything going on in my body and helped me make an informed decision on what was best for me. The staff was really friendly as well, and I am looking forward to continuing care there!
