About Renee Beninger
With her expertise in family medicine and midwifery, Renee Beninger, CNM, FNP, provides comprehensive health care, disease prevention services, and women’s health solutions. Renee offers flexible scheduling for both new and existing patients at Southwest Family Physicians in Tigard, Oregon.
After earning her Bachelor of Science in nursing from Oregon Health & Sciences University in Portland, Renee was accepted into graduate school. She completed her Master of Science in nurse-midwifery through Frontier Nursing University in Hyden, Kentucky. To further her expertise, Renee went on to finish her Master of Science in family nursing at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio.
Renee continues her education and maintains her board certification in midwifery through the American Midwifery Certification Board, as well as her board certification in family practice through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
Not only does Renee provide comprehensive gynecological checkups and annual well-woman exams, but she also offers family planning services and preconception care. Renee even provides compassionate prenatal care and birth planning, as well as dedicated labor and delivery services at both Providence Portland Medical Center and Legacy Health in Portland, Oregon.
Quality postpartum care is important to Renee, so she spends time after delivery providing breastfeeding support, newborn care, and postpartum exercise and strength training. Because of Renee’s experience in both women’s health care and obstetrics, as well as family medicine, she’s able to care for all members of a patient’s family.
Having grown up on a small farm just outside of Portland, Renee enjoys spending time outdoors chicken farming and gardening. She even has her master gardener certification from Oregon State University. Renee and her husband reside in Happy Valley and stay active with their three children.
