Dr. Jae Nam is an insightful, compassionate gastroenterologist treating patients in the Lawrenceville and greater Georgia areas. His goal as a practitioner is to provide both timely, appropriate care to his patients and a warm, compassionate environment in which to receive it. For his undergraduate degree, Dr. Nam attended Amherst College. He pursued his medical degree at the University of Miami School of Medicine. At Emory University, Dr. Nam continued his medical education through a residency program and a fellowship focused on the study of gastroenterology. He keeps his practice up-to-date with seminars through the American Gastroenterology Association.

Dr Nam was well versed in my file for a first appointment and made a diagnosis that I agreed with. His plan is to see if there is any positive change in my weight and my acid reflux within the next month and take follow up action at that time. If there has not been any change, he will consider referral to a surgeon to repair a hiatal hernia.

If you're looking for a robotic doctor who barely listens to your unique history, and who makes little effort to discover the source of your gut issues - this is the guy. You'll walk out with a prescription to mask your symptoms, but without any answers or explanations, and no clear path to healing. Big disappointment.
