From the moment I walked in to the time I left the staff was very professional and helpful and took care of me right away. Can’t get any better than that. The doctor explained to me everything to me very well. Much appreciated!!!

I primarily saw the PA, Van, who was great. Dr. Gilbert did my surgical consult and ultimately my knee surgery. I can't say enough good things about his surgical skills. I woke up in recovery and could tell there was animprovement. He completely fixed my knee which was really negatively impacting my life as it was waking me constantly all night and keeping me from being able to go to the gym or do many of the activities I love. Completely fixed now and I actually think my knee is in better shape than it was even prior to the meniscus tear. The surgical center was also very nice. Hopefully I will not need any future surgeries, but if I do I would feel very confident returning to Dr. Gilbert.

Dr. Gilbert is a terrific guy. He is highly credentialed (best medical training) but approachable and friendly. Very thorough. Two years ago, he did a partial knee replacement for me - I couldn't be happier with it. Highly recommended.

Gilbert was a nice doctor (and assistant) was great but I can't say the same about his staff. I waited over an hour for my appointment. The staff wasn't awful to me but they weren't great. What bothered me was howthey treated this gentlemen. they raise their voice at him and was just rude. I felt bad and regret not saying anything or honestly leaving

Very personable. Did not have to wait long to be seen. X-rays were taken and Dr. Gilbert suggested pertinent methods of treatment. I was in and out of the office within an hour. I was particularly impressed that his office offeredevening appointments so I was able to go after work.

My scheduled consultation was for 11:45 a.m. Taken back to the exam room at 1:15 pm. Blood pressure was not taken nor pulse.... it was assumed based on height and weight. Incorrect information transferred from all the initial paperwork to patientportal summary. Dr. Gilbert assessed and diagnosed my circumstances in 10 minutes or less. For all that I had to wait; I felt rushed through!

I was taken back to the exam roof very quickly. I was sent for x-rays almost immediately. Dr. Gilbert came in shortly after and we discussed my condition and what options I have. I was, as always, very pleased with Dr. Gilbert and his suggestions.

Overall, I'm very disappointed with this practice, and wouldn't recommend it for someone who is looking for professional advice after a running injury or for any kind of personal attention. The ZocDoc appointment didn't come through to theiroffice, so I had to wait an hour and a half to see a doctor. The doc saw me briefly, then left to speak with another patient and left me waiting again in the exam room for another ~30 minutes. There was a lot of confusion about getting an ultrasound and some of their equipment had to be switched out because one system wasn't functioning. I had some pain in my ankle I wanted to have formally diagnosed and get some recommendations for treating, and after all this waiting, the doctor didn't offer me anything I hadn't already found via a simple Google search prior to going in. The doctor didn't provide any solutions for the problem beyond referring me to their in-house physical therapist, even after being pressed for information on the muscles that needed strengthening. The doc wouldn't really give me a straight answer on whether I could continue exercising on the ankle without injuring it more seriously or permanently, saying I could continue "if I could stand the pain," but that he "wouldn't advise it." Generally, the doctor seemed very distracted and rushed (probably due to the busy nature of their practice and me being squeezed in). I left having paid to wait a long time to only hear what I was able to find out on my own, not to mention very late for work!

I was amazed at how well my visit for a knee problem went with Dr. Gilbert. The staff was friendly and professional. They asked all the right questions during the initial check-in and when Dr. Gilbert saw me, he knew theproblem right away and explained the issue to me using the knee anatomy image. I've been to a few doctors for a similar issue, including 1 of which was supposed to be highly rated because of their work with the Washington Redskins. While I did have a good experience at the other clinic, I was amazed at how much better Dr. Gilbert is at identifying the issue. I felt as though the first physician I saw for this issue immediately assumed that surgery may be necessary instead of doing their due diligence. I highly recommend Dr. Gilbert and his staff for any orthopedic needs!

I really really like Dr. Gilbert, however, I came in early for a 9:00 a.m. appointment and didn't get seen for quite a while. There was also a mix up about Xrays and who was going first. I will continue tosee Dr. Gilbert because I am confident in him as a Dr. but I feel like things could be more organized. My time is important too.

Dr. Gilbert spoke candidly and clearly, and explained all health care options so that I could make an informed decision. I waited about 10 minutes in the lobby before being seen, which I spent filling out paperwork. So all-in-all it waslike being seen right away, and 10 minutes is light speed when compared to some other practices. The costs are what you'd expect from a specialty clinic. Finding the parking lot was a pain, because if you miss the necessary turn off of Colesville Rd, it is hard to get back there do to the no-left-turn-signs when coming back. Parking was 5 dollars even after validation, which was also a bummer. But they are just across the street from Silver Spring Metro station, so they are overall very accessible.

This is my third time being seen in this office. This was a follow up appointment. I was actually seen by one of the nurse practitioners. I feel like I'm a pretty empowered patient, and I advocate for myself very well, but during this visit, I felt like I couldn't get in a word despite repeated efforts. The medical assistant walked in at the beginning and said "so you've been going to physical therapy and the hip's all better, right?" She seemed disappointed when I still had complaints. The nurse practitioner (who never introduced herself) ordered an xray and eventually an MRI of my back and hips without taking much of the history about what my pain was like. While I feel like this was a logical outcome of this visit, I would've appreciated a little more listening and a lot less cutting off. I can only imagine what a less forceful or persistant patient experience must be with this provider. Dr Gilbert, himself, was great the one time I've seen him, and I can only hope that he's my provider at my follow up appointment.

It was excellent - from the minute I arrived until I left. The doctor saw me right away. They have their own x-ray machine and they took some diagnostic x-rays. They were able to get me an MRI with in 45minutes of my appointment and the doctor agreed to see me the next day to go over my MRI results. I would highly recommend this doctor and facility in the future.
