About Dr. Manthan Mirani

Born and raised in India, his passion for cricket sparked a lifelong dedication to sports and the care of athletes. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) before attending medical school in India. He went on to complete his family medicine residency at the University of Maryland Capitol Region Health, where he served as chief resident, followed by a prestigious sports medicine fellowship at the world-renowned Andrews Sports Medicine & Orthopaedic Center under the mentorship of Drs. Ortega, Cain, Dugas, and Emblom. During his fellowship, Dr. Mirani served as team physician for Leeds High School and Jacksonville State University—contributing to a Conference USA championship—and provided care for the Birmingham Barons (minor league baseball) as well as elite athletes from the University of Alabama, Auburn University, and professional leagues including the NFL and MLB. Known for his compassionate approach and clinical excellence, Dr. Mirani is committed to enhancing athlete health and performance at every level. Outside of medicine, he enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, and exploring new restaurants and wines.
