Dr. Jim Icken has practiced dermatology as a Board Certified dermatologist for over 30 years and has practiced in Wisconsin, California, New Mexico, and now in New York City. He was born and raised in Vermont and received his medical degree from the University of Vermont but Jim’s predecessors were all raised in the New York metropolitan area and he is so happy to live in the city he has always wanted to call him. Jim did his dermatology training at the University of Wisconsin in Madison. He is also a Board Certified family physician and practiced that specialty for 10 years before pursuing his dermatology training. Advanced Dermatology is excited for Dr. Icken to be able to bring his vast experience in medical, cosmetic, and surgical dermatology to our patients.
Jim and his wife, Dr. Jeanne Wagner, have kept an apartment in NYC for a number of years. They are thrilled to be in The Big Apple full-time. Jim and Jeanne enjoy movies, opera, jazz, and travel. Jim enjoys all things outdoors. He’s a big supporter of Wisconsin Badger sports. If you can’t find him at home or in the office, you’ll probably find him on some body of water with a fly rod in his hand.
