Dr. Laredo earned both his PhD and medical degree from the University of Maryland. He completed his general surgery training in Boston at Harvard University, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and vascular surgery fellowship at Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago. Dr. Laredo is a part of GWMFA Department of Vascular Surgery and is board certified in general and vascular surgery. He is a member of numerous medical and surgical societies including the Society for Vascular Surgery, the American Venous Forum, the American College of Surgeons, and the American Medical Association. He continues to be active in both clinical and translational research and was recently awarded the Peripheral Vascular Surgery Society Academic Award for research in 2006. In addition to his interests in lower extremity revascularization, hemodialysis access surgery, and aortic surgery, Dr. Laredo also specializes in venous diseases and vascular malformations. He serves as director of the GW Medical Faculty Associates Vein Center in Reston, VA. His area of expertise is in both endovascular and open vascular surgery. He is credentialed as both a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) and Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation (RPVI) by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS). Dr. Laredo is dedicated to helping patients receive the treatment they need so they can enjoy a positive and fulfilling lifestyle.

The doctor had emergency surgery so we had to reschedule. The nurse helped me by helping me reschedule easily and quickly. Dr. Laredo is a wonderful doctor and he has helped me a lot. His nurse also is very helpful and they make a great team.I wish all of my medical team was as good as Dr. Loredo and his nurse.
