I feel that this doctor needs to put his patients in front of personal calls and make a sound decision when reviewing an MRI. The test requested made no sense and what he reviewed on the MRI was not correct.

THis man is brilliant and obviously knows his stuff....he really is one of the best. The down side was we waited over 40 minutes past our scheduled time to even be checked in, than another 30 to go through the initial screeing. Then we were dialated and waited another 60 minutes before we saw the doctor. We were there over 3 hours.

I liked the professionalism, but I did feel a lot rushed through the time speaking with the doctor... I was there at 12:58pm (appt. time was 1pm, but I did call to say we were about 5-10 minutes away) and I waited for about 40 minutes before my son's eyes were examined by one of the assistants, and about another 10 minutes after being examined to meet with the doctor. Since we were new patients, it seems like the doctor would have liked to spend a bit more time with my son and I to address any concerns...

Dr. McCarthy is very nice and extremely funny. He acted in a pretty professional manner; however, he did not tell me what he was doing to me while he was doing it, and the next thing I knew my eyes were numb and he was putting some machine ONTO my eyeball. The office will not accept your insurance for glasses OR contacts, so if you go here, be ready to go somewhere else for those two things. Other than those two details, I loved it at Dr. McCarthy's office.

Dr. James McCarthy diagnosed and treated an eye condition I have that 3 other doctors had not previously been able to diagnosis or treat correctly for two years. Dr. McCarthy has many years of experience and is extremely thorough with his exams. I am extremely pleased with his professionalism and care. I would highly recommend his practice!
