The doctor took the time to explain what was going on with my eyes and why. He gave me several options on what could be done following the exam. He was very kind and made sure I had no additional questions before releasing me. It was great to go into a place that really seemed to care about the patient instead of just trying to see eyeglasses.

Dr. Oevermann is a Therapeutic Optometrist and is classically trained in the art of prescribing glasses and contact lenses with extra studies devoted to disease detection and treatment. Dr. Oevermann can pre-scribe topical antibiotics, oral antibiotics and steroids for a wide variety of eye diseases and infections.
While in his last year of optometry school, Dr. Oevermann completed an extensive externship in Pediatric Optometry. Immediately after graduation, he spent two years working and studying extensively with an ophthalmologist diagnosing and treating pathological cases.
On a personal level, Dr. Oevermann is a native Houstonian and currently resides in Cypress, Texas with his wife and four children.

I was disappointed with this doctor. There is an air about him of superiority, I just didn't connect with him. He said some awkward comments, I guess I didn't understand him well, but I was very uncomfortable with him. The office staff was friendly and the office is clean. Would not recommend to my friends or family.

The staff emailed me the day prior for insurance so as to quicken the wait time, which I appreciated. He was informative and casual. Might have been my demeanor and age that helped the casual aspect, though, because I'm young. I only wanted new eyeglasses and he was very accommodating. When I went to pick out my glasses, the attendant was helpful and informative about the eyewear available. He even broke down the different options, their prices, the totals, and then helped me decide on a grand total estimate based off of my needs and wants.
