My appt with Dr Reyes was informative, professional, relaxed and helpful. He fully addressed my concerns and asked a good balance of clinical & lifestyle questions about my personal/medical history, and reason for wanting to see him. He was kind and made me feel comfortable and well attended to by offering me herbal tea and a very stylish seat in his lovely home-office. He has 2 offices. I met him in the downtown location. It wasn't an anesthetic/formal setting, but more or a stylish, organic, creative setting- with beautiful plants, artwork and a naturalistic decor. This was ideal for the nature of our appointment; which was a pain management consultation via recommendation from my longtime GP. The environment seemed to reflect his approach- which I gathered is a strong and knowledgable blend of Eastern and Western philosophy, and Holistic and Traditional Medicine. I felt welcomed and relaxed to discuss my issues. Dr. Reyes addressed it all with empathy, tact and concern and was ultimately, very helpful. He has a caring, friendly nature and most importantly, he got to the point pretty quickly and stayed focused on giving me the help I needed.
It's important to note that he doesn't take insurance, and requests payment at the end of the appointment. He wasn't pushy or anything- it just seemed to be his policy- so come prepared. I'm sure he would've billed me had I asked, but my feeling was that he appreciated payment directly.
I would definitely recommend him to educated, self-aware, open-minded friends...but maybe not to those who prefer to sit on a paper-covered metal table while being examined by a doctor wearing a white lab coat. This doc is on the progressive end of the spectrum!

My approach is simple – I treat you as a person – same as me. I will try to address all aspects of your care. I am adept at providing an integrative approach to psychiatry and medicine. I will address your medical issues (within my limits; and will make the necessary referrals to colleagues I’ve vetted and feel are excellent in their fields). My goal is to alleviate your distress – not just prescribe meds. Each person will have specific concerns: some will require medications to function; others, only a brief and targeted psychotherapeutic intervention. In a therapeutic relationship with a patient, I strive to make a difference in a person’s life. I'm very interested in helping people in their late teens and into their 20s to successfully navigate the transition into adulthood. I will actively ask for your input and opinions; after all, it is your life. The treatment plan will be inclusive of complementary treatment modalities that is acceptable to both of us.
