Dr. Marke is an out of network provider. Dr. Marke begins her relationship with each patient with a comprehensive 1.5-2 hour consultation. Prior to your first consultation Dr. Marke will contact you by phone to ensure expectations and introduce herself. You will develop a relationship that is both professional and authentically warm and connected, which recognizes the 'whole' of you, a relationship which allows Dr. Marke to accompany you on a journey to health. Your relationship will recognize your unique personhood, and end your sense of aloneness with whatever suffering you are having.
Dr. Marke's mission is to support you in reaching your optimal physical and mental health. She believes in working one-on-one with you to provide expert medical treatment, guidance and care tailored specifically for your health concerns.
It is Dr. Marke's goal to deliver the best care she can, working collaboratively with the patient, other physicians and family when indicated, applying the 30+ years of experience and wisdom she has accumulated to the best of her ability. Dr. Marke primarily uses talk therapy, and has trained in Short term Dynamic Psychotherapy, and over the years has added more overtly attachment-oriented techniques, cogntive techniques, as well as techniques helpful for trauma work, such as EMDR, meditation, and breathwork, which are more body-based. She has a background in internal medicine and alcohol treatment and is very comfortable working with the medically ill, and interfacing with other medical doctors. Dr.Marke uses psychiatric medications when indicated, but her interest and experience with lyme disease has lead her to training and work with integrative psychiatry, and she now treats using neutraceuticals, dietary and lifestyle changes.
