Dr Janet Arnesty grew up in West Los Angeles. She studied Biology at University of CA, Santa Cruz and Sussex Univ , England, then graduated from University of CA, San Francisco Medical School. She completed her Family Medicine residency at Community Hospital (UCSF affiliated) in Santa Rosa. She joined East Bay Family Practice in 1992 and has been there ever since except for a one year leave in 2000 when she went to live in Mexico and Guatemala with her family. Her practice includes patients of all ages, though she has a passion for doing prenatal care, attending deliveries and taking care of babies.
Dr Arnesty, her husband (also a physician)and daughter live in San Francisco. She enjoys tennis, bicycling, white water rafting/kayaking and world travel.
