Janette is a nurse practitioner, certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, and a valued member of our Atlanta dermatology team. She was born in Tallahassee, Florida, but moved all around the southeast with her family until she went to college. Janette graduated from the University of Southern Maine with her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing. She then worked as an emergency department and pediatric emergency department RN for over 12 years. In 2018, Janette graduated from the University of Alabama Birmingham with a master's degree in nursing.
Having worked as a travel RN for over 7 years, Janette ventured as far west as California and as far east as Washington, D.C. In addition to working in various hospitals, she also worked summers as a camp nurse up in Maine. Janette is passionate about healthy skin and interested in general, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology.
When she isn't working, Janette loves to get outside with her standard poodle, Finn. She enjoys hiking and swimming, along with Pilates and dancing. She also likes to bake for friends and family. Janette tries to make a point to fly out of the country at least every other year and has been to over 12 countries, including Bolivia, Thailand, and Iceland. The further outside of her comfort zone, the better!
