I am a medical psychiatrist and psychotherapist utilizing both psychopharmacology and therapy for adults, children as well as adolescents. I specialize in the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of a wide variety of mental health conditions including depression, anxiety, panic disorders, ADHD as well as behavioral dysregulation and school difficulties.
I am interested in helping patients by taking the time to fully understand their unique situations. As a child psychiatrist, I believe in working with the individuals, ages ranging from 5 through young adulthood, and their families to help them navigate the difficulties, and become active participants and collaborators in their own treatment planning.
??As a bilingual and bi-cultural individual myself, I pay close attention to how cultures of a family shape one’s life and how it might impact one’s mental health. An individual’s unique life narrative is closely explored to make appropriate diagnosis and treatment. It is my goal to help the patients and their families to understand the issues in a solution-oriented perspective and to become more confident in gaining control of their own lives.
