Had a nice experience at the office. I was seen by a different provider than who I booked with, but she was friendly and competent. I did feel a tad rushed but made sure to ask my questions and got them answered. Everyone was very friendly and I was called into my appointment on time. I will continue to seek care at this office.

I met with Dr. Riana Sanyal and had a great experience. She had wonderful bedside manner, was very knowledgeable, and super efficient during our appointment. Would definitely recommend her!

Dr. Ma is a Southern California native. She attended college at UCLA, where she majored in Biology and completed a Gerontology Interdisciplinary Minor. She then earned her medical degree at the Mayo Clinic School of Medicine, where she received multiple accolades including the American Dermatological Association Fellow Award for her research in melanoma. She subsequently completed her dermatology residency at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, where she served as chief resident. During this time, she was also the resident advisor and co-editor for the American Academy of Dermatology’s quarterly publication: DermWorld Directions in Residency. Dr. Ma has published over a dozen peer-reviewed journal articles and abstracts and authored several book chapters in the field of dermatology. She has presented her research at local and national meetings. She is a member of the Women’s Dermatologic Society, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and Medical Dermatology Society.
Dr. Ma loves all aspects of dermatology, including medical and procedural dermatology and being able to care for patients of all ages and skin types. As a dermatologist, she incorporates evidence-based medicine, prioritizes the unique concerns of each patient and values counseling her patients in order to provide the highest quality of care for her patients.

I was seen quickly enough but booked an appointment with an MD, and was seen by their PA. That's fine, but I've never felt so rushed in an appt as I did today. I kept asking the PA questions (the purpose of my visit) that she gave very quick responses to and didn't ask any follow-up questions or really try to understand why my goals were as a patient. I asked about a condition on my arm and whether she had any suggestions and she recommended I "google it". Not in a rude way, but just didn't seem to be aware that I made an appointment to get a professional opinion, not just get an Rx. It was clean and everyone was nice enough, but I would not recommend this for care.

Had a good experience, can’t say they did much to help (except for recommending a lip balm which has been helpful) but I also kinda showed up with very minor issues so I probably just shouldn’t have booked the appointment

I erroneously showed up for what I thought was the 15th of Dec, the receptionist said it was on the 15th of January 1:30pm, fortunately she was able to get another Dr to see me at 2:20PM so I waited and they seen me around 2:10. She discussed my issue and I felt relieved it was non cancerous.

I have literally never been to a dermatologist until the day of my appointment. And my experience with picking a doctor, getting notifications to fill out forms, the short wait, to my doctor just being really nice and knowledgeable on my issue. It’s been 2 days since my appointment and the medication prescribed already seems to be clearing up the redness, inflammation, flaky, dry scalp that I have going on. Will 100% be sticking to my doctor and this location.

When going to the office, the directions to the office were unclear. Not a fault of the office itself but Google Maps took me to the wrong garage.
The office itself was very clean and had snacks. It's a good thing because I was waiting for way longer than expected. At least 2 or 3 patients that arrived after me were seen before me. The person who saw me didn 't match the image on ZocDoc however, the person who saw me was very nice, had excellent bedside manners, and was very gentle. He gave me a thorough breakdown of my condition and left me feeling comfortable with my diagnosis.

Dr Ma is the most caring, professional doctor ever! She’s incredibly patient and answered all of our questions regarding my psoriasis - you can also feel her warmth and genuine concern for her patients. Super knowledgeable too about all sorts of treatments, can’t recommend her enough!
