About Dr. Jason Surratt
Dr. Surratt graduated with honors from the California School of Podiatric Medicine at Samuel Merritt University, earning his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree. He completed a comprehensive podiatric medical and surgical residency program at Legacy Emanuel Medical Center and Kaiser Portland Hospitals in Portland, OR. Dr. Surratt is a four-time winner of “Top Doc” by Portland Monthly and is board certified in foot surgery.
After completing his formal training, he founded Westside Foot & Ankle Specialists, which grew into a multi-location practice with five foot and ankle specialists, three physical therapists, and a wound care RN before he joined Northwest Extremity Specialists.
Dr. Surratt became interested in podiatry after a fellow teammate was treated for an injury by a team podiatrist at Colorado State University. He is an avid runner, with personal records of 14:11 in the 5,000 meters and 29:30 in the 10,000 meters during his tenure at Colorado State. His clinical specialties include running mechanics, sports medicine of the foot and ankle, and surgical management of foot deformities. His current hobbies include cycling, running, archery, and the occasional distance swim, having completed the Alcatraz Swim for his 40th birthday. He enjoys spending time out of the city at his cabin in Sisters, OR, with his wife, son, and daughter.

Made an appointment for this morning and they texted me last minute that the doctor would be unavailable and I have to call to reschedule. Called and after waiting on hold for 10 minutes I was forced into voicemail. Left a message requesting callback asap (because I'm in a lot of pain). They haven't called back and it's been hours. Found another place that will see me tomorrow. So not impressed

The Doctor was superb. Scheduling needs some improvement.
We arrived 15 minutes early as suggested and had to wait above 45 minutes (30 minutes after our appointment) before we were taken back to see the doctor. Another person also scheduled to see the same doctor, arrived about 10 minutes after us and were taken back to see the doctor after waiting 5 minutes. On inquiry, I was told that we both had the same appointment time. If another person has an emergency and needs to see the doctor immediately, please let those waiting know. However, if you consciously schedule two patients for the same time, please reevaluate your scheduling process

All the staff that we interacted with, from arrival to departure, were friendly and very professional. We received a follow-up phone-call within a few days after the appointment with more information. Highly recommended!

Dr. Surratt took to time to make a thoughtful diagnosis, offered a course of treatments and did it all with an efficient and pleasant experience- even though I was experiencing pain from my injury. Staff was great, got in and out (including X-rays) in about 30 minutes. Great facility, great people.
