Born in Baltimore, Maryland, Dr. Reid earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Dr. Reid completed her internship and residency at University of Washington in Seattle. She is Board Certified in Family Practice.
Dr. Reid enjoys educating patients about their health choices, and is especially interested in caring for families of all types.
When she is not working, Jean enjoys travel, theater and the outdoors. She is active in her community, especially around environmental causes. She has been delivering patient-centered primary care here in Seattle for more than a decade.

I had appointment and arrived on time but waited 1.5 hour. The nurse and Dr. Reid apologized for the long waiting but it was too much. I think Dr. Reid is just OK

The visit started out well but when there was a miscommunication about medicines, I asked for clarification and she got very cold. She told me that perhaps we were not a good match if we didn't communicate well. Apparently, asking her any questions at all means we don't mesh. She didn't even say goodbye when she left and when I asked what I supposed to do about pain (since Tylenol doesn't work for me) she said "I could talk to you about pain but 4 other patients are waiting" and then she left. This is the 2nd time a ZocDoc doctor has been so poor in their bedside manners. I really liked this doctor overall and tried to clear up the misunderstanding but she no longer was listening to me and rushed the rest of the appt. I was so confused and felt bad when I left.

Dr. Reid was very personable from the get-go introduced herself as Jean and told me she wasn't big on formalities. That resonates with me because somebody of her essteam could easily be very snobby about her title. She was very knowledgeable provided me with excellent care and even made the trip very fun I actually left there smiling. I would recommend Dr.Reid to anybody even made the flu shot fun.

Dr. Reid was very attentive and treated me with respect and dignity. I rarely find doctors that I feel so comfortable with, but Dr. Reid did a great job of caring for my needs and listening to my questions and concerns.

Dr. Reid was very knowledgable and approachable. The wait times between nurse/doctor/nurse felt like they took 10 minutes, but it's hard to tell in an examination room.

I was a new patient and that means alot more time to establish care and go over my medical history, plus I had a acute condition, she was very good with the immediate attention to the acute issue and even got to address a couple other chronic issues.

She was personable, took her time, seemed knowledgeable and friendly. I only have one thing against her but it's a big one: I had to have a genital exam and she was super rough. I was sore the rest of the day. Ask her to be gentle beforehand or get a different doc if that's something you need.

The first appoint was actually a get to know you visit so I will have to schedule a second visit for what I actually went in for. The jury is still out on whether or not I'd recommend her to friends. I'll try her again since she now has all of my information. She got me in right away, but I had long waits when she stepped out of the room.

She listens and doesn't hod back. She respects my time, my intelligence, and my ignorance of medical terminology. I find that I can trust her. This has proven to be difficult combination to find in the past.
