Dr. Jeevan Vinod is board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. He completed his gastroenterology fellowship at Lenox Hill Hospital and Mount Sinai Hospital in Manhattan, NY. Dr. Vinod is regarded as an expert in the management of inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD) and completed specialty training at Cleveland Clinic, OH. Dr. Vinod is a part of Care Point Health medical group and affiliated with Christ Hospital, Bayonne Medical Center, and Hoboken University Medical Center. Dr. Vinod serves as the program director for the GI fellowship program at Bayonne hospital beginning in July 2016.

I misunderstood the date of my appointment, and I visited the doctor’s office day before my actual appointment. However, their receptionist kindly switched my appointment and I got to see Dr. Vinod without waiting. He was very kind and gentleman.

Dr. Vinod and his colleagues had a fantastic bedside manner and were so knowledgeable. They spent so much time on listening to my issues and no symptom was not worth hearing. I've been seeing another GI for about 3 months regarding my condition and I decided to see Dr. Vinod for a second opinion. He took the time to listen to my concerns. I didn't feel rushed at all. He seems very knowledgeable and recommended several new things for me to do going forward.

There is a pay parking lot right next door to the office, which was the reason I chose this location as my mother is in a wheelchair. The building itself seemed a little "run down". There were 3 women in the office and all were very nice. A female doctor interviewed my mother first, got all pertinent information as to why we were there and what might be needed. She conveyed all information to Dr. Vinod, who asked some additional questions. Both doctors were very nice, polite, professional and thorough. I was very happy with both of them and the office staff.

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Vinod. I generally avoid going to the doctor unless absolutely necessary, but the abdominal pain that I was experiencing was severe enough for me to seek him out... and I am so glad that I did. During my first appointment, he was very thorough in assessing me and gave me all the time I needed to ask questions of my own. Dr. Vinod explains everything so clearly and has the best bedside manner of any doctor I've ever had, by far - I was very nervous due to having a family history riddled with intestinal disease, but he put me totally at ease. At the end of that appointment, he laid out every possible step of testing and treatment that we might possibly need to take. He told me that we would do everything it took to get to the bottom of my issues, and I left the office feeling that I was in the best hands. Fast forward a few months later, and I am now totally pain free because of his treatment and a better understanding of how to handle my GI issues. Dr. Vinod is an absolute blessing and I would recommend him to anyone!
