Jeffrey C. Wang, MD, is Professor of Orthopedic Surgery and Neurosurgery and Co-Director of the USC Spine Center, with expertise in the surgical treatment of all neck and back disorders. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Pittsburgh, completed his internship in Surgery and residency in Orthopedic Surgery at the University of California Los Angeles Medical Center, and pursued a Fellowship in Spine Surgery at Case Western Reserve University. As a world-renowned leader in spine care, Dr. Wang continuously writes and presents professional articles, publications, and speaking engagements to national and international audiences. His reputation for consistently providing excellent patient care, outstanding qualifications, and experience has earned him immense respect from patients and physicians alike. He assumes numerous leadership roles in nationally respected medical organizations, including the North American Spine Society, Cervical Spine Research Society, the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, and multiple other educational and research groups. In addition, Dr. Wang serves as a Second Medical Opinion Physician with the National Hockey League (NHL) and the National Hockey League Players' Association (NHLPA).
In addition to a busy clinical practice, Dr. Wang runs a basic science laboratory where he is on the cutting edge of technology, constantly developing and applying novel methods of treating spinal disorders. His research interests include gene therapy for spinal disorders, minimally invasive surgery for spinal disorders, bone growth biological proteins, and biomedical engineering of non-invasive spine surgery using high-intensity focused ultrasonic waves. Dr. Wang has received numerous research grants and is currently involved in many clinical trials in the treatment of spine problems.

Very rude demeanor. Zoc Doc specifies him as a “spine specialist,” when in reality, he is a “spine surgeon.” His staff saw my intake forms and did not refer me to the correct physician in their group. So I wasted a day of PTO and I also had to endure his extremely unpleasant attitude. Would not recommend.

Very clean and quiet office. I was seen within 10 minutes after X- ray was done. Dr Wang and his associate evaluated my conditions of complaint and explained thoroughly. Staffs were also very friendly and efficient.

Dr Wang and his team and staff were absolutely amazing! Everyone was so kind and professional. I had a bad fall two weeks prior and the pain was getting worse. They immediately took X-rays to make sure I did not break anything and based on my symptoms Dr Wang prescribed a physical therapy treatment to heal my body and work my way back to start running again, which is something I love to do! Thank you Dr Jeffrey Wang!

Horrible experiences. They call to see if I can go early, I told them no because I followed their schedule and I could go later but no early. They call me not stopping the day of my appointment, I have to stepped out of meeting to answer so they can to cancel or to reschedule due to emergency.
